1 Timothy 2:5 NIV
For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,
Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a good morning. Hallelujah! Let's think about Jesus Christ being the mediator between us and God. In this chapter, we find Paul giving instructing Timothy more on worship. It a chapter that calls for deeper revelation and acceptance of God's Word as a map for a believer's life. In the last lesson, we say Jesus Christ as the only one who's worthy to open the judgement scroll. From a worldly perspective, mediator does not take side in a case, he stands neutral between two conflicting parties helping them come to a solution. Whatever the parties agree can then proceed to be used in court of law to make the judgement. If they agree to end the case, then the case is over on court! Our case is between us and God and the case is that we are all sinners, we have all fallen short of glory of God and the wages or punishment worth us is death! The verdict is that God loves us so much and doesn't want anyone to perish. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." Jesus Christ took it further than just a world mediator and paid that wages of death by Himself. He accepted to suffer all what we ought to have suffered ourselves. The part that remains for you sinner is to believe in Him. To have faith in Jesus, accepting Him and receiving the new life He gives. In John 6:37 , Jesus reminds us that He will never cast out whoever comes to Him. That's the word of God today. God loves you have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.
