Good morning, brethren.

THE WORD FOR TODAY. TUESDAY MAY, 12, 2026.
"PRAYING JESUS' WAY (3)‘"
…Is anything too hard for me?’ Jeremiah 32:27 NIV
THE WORDS ‘our father’ remind us of god’s unconditional love. ever looked into the eyes of a suffering child and wanted to make them well, but found you lacked the power? who art in heaven” reminds us of god’s unlimited power to do what we can’t. ‘i am the lord, the god of all mankind. is anything too hard for me?’ the answer in the hebrew language comes back, ‘no, nothing, absolutely nothing, with you shall be extraordinary.’ you can have total confidence that what god’s love prompts him to do, his power enables him to do. ‘hallowed be thy name’ distinguishes his name and character from all others. ‘hallowed’ in greek indicates he’s unlike others, different, special, the only one. in an age where respect for authority is disappearing, because it challenges our self-importance, jesus teaches us to pray, ‘heavenly father, enable us to give you the place your holy name and character deserve.’ ‘thy kingdom come.’ jesus came preaching god’s kingdom; it was the heart of his gospel. the kingdom incorporating abraham, isaac, jacob, etc., was past. the present kingdom includes all who acknowledge jesus as lord. and the future kingdom will encompass the whole earth at christ’s return. each time you submit to god’s will, his kingdom is brought into operation. as a believer, you are in his kingdom, and his power is available to you. ‘thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’ (matthew 6:10 kjv) In heaven God's will is never questioned. Nor should it be in your life. And Jesus instructed us to pray and believe that what happens in heaven should also happen through you here on earth.

MD.ii. SAMSON'S SECRET
"The Spirit of the Lord began to stir him." - Judges 13:25
There are people who depict Samson as a bodybuilder; a big and tough guy. However, the power he had, was not a natural force. The secret was that the Spirit of God was in him. This is why God could use him as He often did.
Fate
Samson was a man who had received power from above. He is the image of the Church of Jesus Christ. Samson ruled over the enemy. They were terrified of him until he laid his head on the lap of a prostitute. We could say that the Church has laid its head on the lap of the world. This was fatal to Samson. The woman urged him to reveal the secret of his power and he did this bit by bit. Gradually the Church has also gone downhill. When the enemy came, Samson wanted to rise again to defeat him, but 'he did not know that the Lord had left him' (Judges 16:20).
He lost his power
The evil one laughs when we end up in his net. Nobody is able to get out of this net without God's help. Samson was taken prisoner and his eyes were cut out. The Church will not only lose its power, but also the light that God once gave to His Church. Samson had to spin the millstones in prison. He constantly walked around without getting anywhere. This too is the image of the Church in many places but, praise God: there was a change.
God remains faithful
Samson confessed his sin and asked God to give him once more the strength from above. We read that God did not give the honor to the enemy in Samson's life. It is the same with the Church of Christ today. The gates of the realm of the dead will never overcome her. The Church has not been faithful. We have failed, but God remains faithful and never fails. We know the end of Samson. He brought another great victory to Israel. We also believe in a great victory for God's children.

2. Morning Prayer for today.
MP.i. Morning Prayer
For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin. ⏤ Hebrews 4:15
He is never nearer than when we are tempted. ⏤ E.M. Bounds
O Jesus, we thank You for living this human life with us, knowing all about our experiences. You became a man. You were tempted in every way, just as we are, and understand what temptation is like. It comforts us to know that You understand our struggles and that we can rely on Your sympathy. Help us today, O Jesus, to overcome every temptation. Stand by us and do not let us fall into darkness in any moment of trial.
We are also grateful that You know all about sorrow. You have experienced every depth of human pain. There is no sorrow unknown to You, no grief that You cannot understand. Life brings us sorrows, sometimes very deep ones. No human friend can fully understand them. Our loved ones want to help us but cannot take away our pain or give us true comfort. Earth has no sufficient consolation for us.
So we turn to You, O Jesus, and ask for Your help in our sorrows. We want to bear them sweetly, without complaining. We want to receive the blessing that comes with every pain or suffering, a blessing that is often missed. Teach us how to suffer according to Your will. Give us true comfort that enables us to endure whatever pain or trial we must face. Help us to grow stronger and kinder in every affliction. May Your sympathy bless us, lifting us into deeper fellowship with You. We ask all this in Your precious name, Jesus our Savior. Amen.
