🕊He Found Me When I Was Hiding

🕊The Life I Was Living:
*For years i called it "Fun", but to be honest, I was running. I was the person at the party who stayed the latest, drank the most, laughed the loudest. I told myself I was free. But the truth is, I was chained to the next high, the next distraction, the next way to quiet that voice in my head that said, "This isn't It".

I loved that life. Or at least I thought I did. The music, the friends, the feeling of being alive for 4hrs and numb for the next 3days. I built my identity around it. And every time someone mentioned Jesus, every time I felt that pull to give my life to Him, I pushed it down fast.

Because I believed the lie: If I give my life to Christ, I lose everything I love. I Lose Me.

🕊The Breaking Point:
*God did not argue with me. He let me run. But He never let me go, in fact, He Never Left Me. For years I kept pushing the thought away- "one day, maybe...but not now".

Then on January 5th, I ran out of excuses. I don't have a dramatic story. There was no rock bottom moment.. It was just exhaustion. I was tired of pretending, tired of waking up empty after chasing everything that promised to fill me.

That night I stopped bargaining. I said,"Lord, I've tried it my way, it's not working. If You're Real, Take It. All of It.

And He Did.

🕊What Changed:
*I expected to feel like I lost something. Instead, for the first time in years, I felt Alive. The cravings didn't vanish overnight, But the power they had over me broke. The shame started losing its voice. The silence in my room stopped feeling heavy and started feeling peaceful.

I am proud to say that it's been 5months now. Five months of waking up and realizing I don't need the old life to feel okay.
[Corinthians 5:17] "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, The new is here!"
[Galatians 2:20] "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, But Christ Lives in me".

I am still learning what it means to walk with Him. I mess up. But the difference is, I am not running anymore. When I fall, I run to Him, not away from Him.

🕊Where My Heart Is Now:
*The thing about encountering real light is that you cannot keep it to yourself.
My biggest prayer right now is my husband. I see him in the same place I was - thinking his fine, carrying things he won't talk about. I can't force him. But I can Pray for him, and I can live differently, so he sees that this is not religion. It's Relationship.
[Joshua 24:15] "As for me and my household, we will serve The Lord".
[James 5:16] "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective ".

I am praying for my friends too. For the ones that still in that cycle of partying, thinking it's freedom.

🕊What I'd Say To You:
*If you're reading this thinking, "I'm not ready. I'll lose too much", I was you 5months ago.
Jesus doesn't come to take your life. He comes to give it back to you.
[Mark 8:36] "What good it is for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?".
[John 10:10] "I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly ".

I Did Not Lose Me On January 5th. I Found Me.
