Most of us are not waiting for permission to move—we are waiting to feel ready. We want certainty before surrender, confidence before commitment, and guarantees before movement. Yet life’s defining moments often begin with trembling steps. The question is not whether fear is present—but whether we trust God enough to move forward anyway.

Joshua stood under overwhelming responsibility after Moses’ death. God did not remove the challenge—He promised His presence.

Courage is like a soldier standing firm in battlefield chaos. Orders do not change because fear appears. The mission does not pause while emotions catch up. Courage is not the absence of fear—it is obedience in the presence of fear. Joshua’s strength was not in himself, but in this promise: “๐˜›๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜“๐˜–๐˜™๐˜‹ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜บ ๐˜Ž๐˜ฐ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ช๐˜ด ๐˜ธ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ฉ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ธ๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ด๐˜ฐ๐˜ฆ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ ๐˜จ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ต.”

The Scriptures repeatedly anchor courage in God’s presence: “๐˜๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ณ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต; ๐˜ง๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜ ๐˜ข๐˜ฎ ๐˜ธ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ฉ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ” (๐ˆ๐ฌ๐š๐ข๐š๐ก ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ:๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ). We are never called to walk alone.

Too often, we remain frozen at the starting line—waiting for perfect conditions before obeying God. But delayed obedience is still disobedience. Do not live like a ship anchored permanently at shore—safe, but never fulfilling its purpose. Faith moves forward not because the path is easy, but because God is faithful.

Christ Himself trusted the Father beyond human emotion. In Gethsemane, He prayed, “๐˜ฏ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต ๐˜ฎ๐˜บ ๐˜ธ๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ญ, ๐˜ฃ๐˜ถ๐˜ต ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ, ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ” (๐‹๐ฎ๐ค๐ž ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ:๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ). Though sorrowful, He submitted fully. Through His finished work, we are given not only an example, but a Saviour who enables us to trust beyond what we feel.

What step has God been calling you to take that fear keeps delaying? You don’t need Christ merely to make you feel brave—you need Him to be your courage. He has not called you to feel ready; He has called you to follow. Will you trust His presence and take the first step today?

๐๐ซ๐š๐ฒ๐ž๐ซ: Heavenly Father, forgive us for waiting to feel brave when You have already promised Your presence. Teach us to be strong and courageous—not in ourselves, but in You. Go before us today and give us the faith to take the first step. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
