“𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘦,
𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘦.”

Most of us are not waiting for permission to move—we are waiting to feel ready. We want certainty before surrender, confidence before commitment, and guarantees before movement. Yet life’s defining moments often begin with trembling steps. The question is not whether fear is present—but whether we trust God enough to move forward anyway.

🕮 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐚 𝟏:𝟗 declares, “𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘦? 𝘉𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦; 𝘣𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘥, 𝘯𝘦𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘥: 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘖𝘙𝘋 𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘵.” Joshua stood under overwhelming responsibility after Moses’ death. God did not remove the challenge—He promised His presence.

Courage is like a soldier standing firm in battlefield chaos. Orders do not change because fear appears. The mission does not pause while emotions catch up. Courage is not the absence of fear—it is obedience in the presence of fear. Joshua’s strength was not in himself, but in this promise: “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘖𝘙𝘋 𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘵.”

The Scriptures repeatedly anchor courage in God’s presence: “𝘍𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘰𝘵; 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘦” (𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝟒𝟏:𝟏𝟎). “𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘦, 𝘯𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘦” (𝐇𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝟏𝟑:𝟓). “𝘐𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘴, 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘶𝘴?” (𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟖:𝟑𝟏). “𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦” (𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟒:𝟏𝟑). We are never called to walk alone.

Too often, we remain frozen at the starting line—waiting for perfect conditions before obeying God. But delayed obedience is still disobedience. Do not live like a ship anchored permanently at shore—safe, but never fulfilling its purpose. Faith moves forward not because the path is easy, but because God is faithful.

Christ Himself trusted the Father beyond human emotion. In Gethsemane, He prayed, “𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘦, 𝘣𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦” (𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝟐𝟐:𝟒𝟐). Though sorrowful, He submitted fully. Through His finished work, we are given not only an example, but a Saviour who enables us to trust beyond what we feel.

What step has God been calling you to take that fear keeps delaying? You don’t need Christ merely to make you feel brave—you need Him to be your courage. He has not called you to feel ready; He has called you to follow. Will you trust His presence and take the first step today?

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Heavenly Father, forgive us for waiting to feel brave when You have already promised Your presence. Teach us to be strong and courageous—not in ourselves, but in You. Go before us today and give us the faith to take the first step. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Remember, a dose of God’s Word a day will keep you going all day!
