Dear Brethren and Sisters in Christ. Let us as Followers of Christ in Faith, be practical when we share the Good News with those around us to His Glory and Honour and not talk a “vocabulary” that it is above those who do not know Jesus. Jesus used in that regard practical parables to make it understandable to those around Him. When serving within the Road Freight Industry as a Trucker, the Truck Cab is regarded as home, where most of the 750 000 TRUCKERS (in South Africa) spends most of their time, working, serving, eating and sleeping when resting. This Cab is built on a steel chassis, which provides a secure, sure drive en route, serving up to more than a million, even two million, kilometres in some instances. This chassis has specific requirements to provide a secure, stable basis for longevity. The National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) is responsible for administering compulsory specifications and the approval of vehicle models, including chassis designs. If these and other specifications are followed, this “structure” provides a firm and secure base for cabs fitted, which provides accommodation for TRUCK DRIVERS, when being “home” (in their truck cabs) for most of their TRUCK DRIVING LIVES/CAREERS. As such, we read in Scripture Luke 6:47 to 48 where Jesus teaches: “whoever comes to Me, and HEARS MY SAYINGS AND DOES THEM, I will show you whom he is like. He is like a man BUILDING A HOUSE, who dug deep and LAID THE FOUNDATION ON THE ROCK” (submitting and adhering to the required standard of holiness). SATM – Southern Africa Truckers Ministry are called to present guidance to receptive TRUCKERS, towards a solid foundation based on Scripture, where we all can find assured HOPE for our lives in Christ Jesus when we keep to His requirements by grace and BUILD OUR SPIRITUAL HOUSE ON THE ROCK (Jesus Christ, the Son of God, our Heavenly Father by the working of His Holy Spirit). Let us pray on behalf of these TRUCK DRIVERS covering the national road network of South Africa (and other SADC or neighbouring countries), while serving cross border while away from their loved ones for up to 6 months in many cases. These men and women need our intercession and love where they have no other outcome to provide for their families and bound to their cabs. Please be safe on the road and cherish your family who are with you.
