- When you and I fall into a difficult situation or where we may need help, it could be devastating, depending on our own attitude. Are you willing to admit failure and seek help, crucifying our pride, or do we persist in stubbornness? We can sit in our corner and sulk, or we could reach out, seeking and calling for help if would be serious about changing our situation. Obviously, we need to accept a hand stretched out to us and not predict how assistance should be presented. If serious in our attempts to change our situation, we would evaluate all possibilities and opportunities at hand. Matthew 7: verse 7 & 8 in Scripture states that when we ASK WE SHALL RECEIVE, WHEN WE SEEK WE SHALL FIND, WHEN WE KNOCK IT SHALL BE OPENED. It is clear in Scripture that Jesus Christ did not attend to people who were not seeking help. Those who made an effort to get help in whatever way received help, assistance, and healing. The blind man Bartimaeus in Mark 10:47 CRIED OUT to Jesus. In Luke 17:13, 10 men suffering from disease (Leprosy) SHOUTED OUT for Jesus to show mercy upon them. When Hezekiah and his people were threatened by the enemy in war, according to 2 Kings 19:14-15, he cried out to God for His intervention. Hagar in Genesis 16:13-14 & 21:15-19 was faced with rejection and cast out of her master’s household where she served while being deceived and cried out to God for her and her child, fearing death. In all these cases and many more different circumstances and situations, GOD, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, HAS ANSWERED AND PROVIDED AN OUTCOME WITH GUIDANCE AND RELIEF, which benefited those who called and cried out to Him to His glory. More so, where Nicodemus (leader and senior official) wanted to know how he could receive God’s grace and salvation, while Paul states in Romans 10:13 “Everyone who CALLS OUT TO THE LORD FOR HELP will be saved.” While James 5:13 to 15 states that if any among you are in trouble? They should pray. Are any among you happy? They should sing praises. 14 Are any among you sick? They should send for the church elders, who will pray for them and rub olive oil on them in the name of the Lord. 15This prayer made in faith will HEAL THE SICK (Physical and Spiritual); the Lord will RESTORE THEM TO HEALTH, and the SINS THEY HAVE COMMITTED WILL BE FORGIVEN. Take hands with SATM (Southern Africa Truckers Ministry) in this effort to share GOOD NEWS, as Romans 10:14 states the challenge: “But how can they CALL TO HIM FOR HELP if they have not believed? And how can they believe if they have not heard the message? And how can they hear if the message is not proclaimed?” Therefore, we need to witness about his work in our lives. So decide if you are serious about change in your life for the better on every level in submission to God through His son Jesus Christ. When you have reached the end of yourself and your own strength, God can add LIFE to you. EVERLASTING LIFE

- Are you ready and prepared for what is at hand? For those of us who have lost a loved one, we would understand that death comes unannounced. Can you imagine a mother who was positively diagnosed with EBOLA after losing 7 children to this virus? A Red Cross nurse, Anne, in Sierra Leone, shared how she tried to show some form of compassion to this poor woman in total despair, with a cry for help in her eyes. To have some form of contact with this infected female patient, the medics are dressed in specially designed protective clothing consisting of double gloves, fluid-resistant or impermeable gowns/coveralls, full-face shields, respiratory protection, and waterproof boot covers. All in an effort to prevent any spread of infection, which could cause certain death if the possibility of contaminated droplets and fluids from the mouth, nose, and eyes is not prevented.
Seeing this poor woman who lost all her loved ones and not being able to show some compassion by a loving touch, “skin-to-skin”, or eye contact, comforting words, was heartbreaking. Only a glove-protected hand could be placed on her shoulder to show some remorse and sympathy, while she is also possibly not going to survive this ordeal. Serious efforts are made to prevent any contamination, which could be fatal, where the current outbreaks in KIVU, North Eastern DRC, next to Uganda, according to reports, are devastating.
In Scripture, in Luke 17:11 to 19, we see how lepers were forced to live in isolation away from communities. This was an indication of their infection and a measure to keep the disease from spreading. Both these illnesses cause terrible death and heartache, while we see in Romans 6:23 that there is another terrible cause of death. SIN produces wages of spiritual death, where we are separated from God. Sins in our lives are infectious to our lives in the same manner and shall destroy us where we have not been vigilant to prevent any participation or possible contamination with sinful behaviour. Disregard for God’s Word and playing around with sinful temptations shall cost us dearly. God, our Heavenly Father, calls us to holiness and dedication to Him in obedience to Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
A tragedy to be in a protective suit where safety from disease would be, while seeing a person next to you who has been contaminated or exposed to a deadly EBOLA virus, and you can do nothing to truly help this person in their struggle. A terrible reality, be it in the physical or in the Spiritual separation between life and death.
It is our prayer that you will take hands with SATM (Southern Africa Truckers Ministry) in this serious issue to accept the love of God in Christ who died in our place on the cross of Calvary after which He rose in victory from the conquered grave and the sting of death removed (1 Cor.15:55) May we as believers reach out to those who have not yet experienced the loving touch of God in Christ. Are you ready and prepared for what is at hand? For those who are fond of angling and the use of artificial lures, it is amazing how the attention of fish is drawn by actions such as surface skipping, diving, and popping, as presented by such imitationsattracted with actions such as surface skipping, diving, and popping as presented with such imitated mimics. This mimics hopefully catches the eye of your desired “catch” with lures presented in bright colours, contrasting skirts, flashy and reflective materials and is many a time irresistible. The splashing and bubbling created by the lure's head, also replicate the trail of a struggling fish, simulating a high-value, easy meal worth the energy to pursue. Causing their demise when they have “fallen” for this deception in order to be caught themselves.
In this regard, the question is for you and me. Can you, or rather, how do you, resist temptation in your life when it is presented in such an attractive but very deceptive and even fatal way? On a daily base we all face situations where we would react to any given experience.
Scripture says in James 4:7 So submit to [the authority of] God. RESIST the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you. ‘ while John 10:10 says that the thief (the devil) comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy… which is a warning if you would fall for this deception. We are not fish or animals and have been granted a Spirit of a sound mind according to 2 Tim. 1:7.
1 Peter 1:13+14 instructs us to PREPARE OUR MINDS FOR ACTION, TO BE COMPLETELY SOBER [IN SPIRIT—STEADFAST, SELF-DISCIPLINED, spiritually and morally alert], to fix our hope completely on the grace [of God] that is coming to us when Jesus Christ is revealed. Live For Christ as obedient children [of God]; DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THE EVIL DESIRES WHICH GOVERNED YOU IN YOUR IGNORANCE…
As such, we CAN RESIST THE TEMPTATIONS OF THIS WORLD AND NOT “FALL FOR THE FALSE ATTRCATIONS WHICH SHALL CAUSE OUR DEMISE” It is our prayer that you shall take hands with SATM (Southern Africa Truckers Ministry) IN THIS QUEST TO DISCERN THE TRUTH AND NOT FALL FOR DECEPTION of “fake lures”, temptations that come upon our roads. Decide: Decide to follow the Word of God and be directed by Him as He asks the question, in Psalm 119:9 How can a young man keep his way pure (free from sin, temptation, deception and hurt)? News dated 21 June 2026 the following: ‘All over South Africa, women like her domestic worker (employee) Nonzuzo know things about their employer's family that even best friends don’t, yet they’re not always seen as individuals in their own right.' These two ladies (on the left of the pic) have now become business partners. Moniek has employed Nonzuzo, who has devoted herself to caring for Moniek’s home and children for the past 12 years. She’s raised Moniek’s children with her and become a friend. Moniek states: “We’ve carried one another’s burdens and PRAYED FOR OUR FAMILIES TOGETHER. Her appearance is impeccable, but her work wear didn’t reflect her dignity or her beauty. The uniforms purchased by Moniek, soon faded, and made Nonzuzo felt uncomfortable as it made her feel inferior because it reminded her of what her mother and grandmother wore during the apartheid era when they were called ‘servants’. During discussions about what uniform would be preferable, Moniek thought ‘Someone needs to do something about this” So she went into business with Nonzuzo! Moniek worked with Nonzuzo’s ideas to create more desirable work wear. For those of us who were privileged to grow up on a farm and have been exposed to horse riding, we should know that the bit, headpiece, and reins to a horse are essential horse tack (horse gear or equipment) to control the animal. All work together to form a means of communicating with the horse. Bits work by applying pressure inside the horse’s mouth. Depending on the bit used, it may apply pressure on the horse’s TONGUE, the roof of the mouth, and the corners of the mouth. This designed metal bit provides CONTROL to the “horse rider” (equestrian/jockey/cowboy or girl) where it guides the horse precisely in doing what is required. In terms of humans, we do not wear bridles, but we are called to exercise bridled speech that is restrained, carefully considered, and disciplined as it would direct our conduct in the end,; just as with the bridled horse. Applying the reins, we shall arrive where safely intended. Where there are no reins applied, the end could be disastrous for the rider.
In Scripture James 3:3 we see the reflection and caution: We put a bit into the mouth of a horse to make it obey us, and we are able to make it go where we want (as described above). Recently, they shared some understanding of truck drivers' wives’ challenges and options for consideration, which it could contribute to better relationships and family well-being.
Being a truck driver is no easy job, and being a truck driver’s wife (husband) isn’t either. How will their absence influence your routine, and when he (she) is at home? A few truck drivers’ wives shared what to expect and how to keep a strong relationship through it all.
All marriages live and die on trust, more so when you spend a lot of time apart. Even if you talk regularly, a lot will happen in your absence. It’s important to trust that your husband or wife is your teammate and you’re working toward a shared life vision. Send your partner good morning and good night messages or provide something special (in appreciation). These are little ways to say “I love you” even when you’re not together. Even in committed relationships, the days and weeks can seem endless at times. Talk with your husband or wife and have a plan for short- and long-term career goals. That way, everyone has clear expectations for the situation. It’s easier to make sacrifices in the short term if you know what you’re working toward.
When he or she (female driver) is on the road and when he is at home“
Remember that when he is on the road, it’s about me, my children, the house, etc. I enjoy “me-time”, I clean; I spend quality time with my children. When my truck driver husband (or wife) is at home, it’s all about HIM (or her)! I cook his / her favorite meals, dress up, plan special things, some big, some small. But I allow my world to evolve around my husband. “I think this is important because it keeps us both happy and almost in a honeymoon/young lovers phase.” When your partner comes home, find a balance that works well for the two of you. Look for a mix of shared responsibilities and leisure time while at home together. Trucking is hard work, so your partner will probably be pretty tired some weeks. Build in some downtime, and focus on the things that are re-energizing for everyone. If you love family gatherings, plan a get-together, but if what you really want is a quiet evening together, don’t feel shy about turning down invitations. You and your husband, together with your children, need time together.
In Scripture, we see that God instructs us as husbands to love our wives and our wives to submit to our love (Ephesians 5:25). Proverbs 31 calls wives to be a diligent wife and a woman who should be a homemaker (Titus 2; Proverbs 31) with a “gentle and quiet spirit” (1 Peter 3:4).
Take hands with SATM (Southern Africa Truckers Ministry) in prayer for our Truck Driver’s wives (husbands) who have to maintain our homes while we are on the road. May God bless them, and we be reunited in His glory when we return home after trips. Please be safe on the road.“Drive My Way” is a truck driver recruiting platform focused on drivers and their needs while serving the road freight industry. When he or she (female driver) is on the road and when he is at home“ Remember that when he is on the road, it’s about me, my children, the house, etc. I enjoy “me-time”, I clean; I spend quality time with my children. Our decisions shape our lives and future. Most of the time, we ourselves are to be blamed for the lives we have and experience. When we have chosen the wrong path or option, and it has cost us dearly or failed to deliver on our hopes, it brings us to a crossroads where we have to make a decision. This decision could make or break us, giving us peace everlasting or destructive bitterness. And yes, many times such a decision would call for confession or admission of our mistakes or failures, but would it free us from guilt and condemnation? Such a move is evident when we have to face the consequences of our wrong decisions. In Scripture (Luke 15:11-32), we read about a young man who demanded his future inheritance in advance so that he could go and enjoy his life, even long before his father would have passed away. The father, in love for his son, granted his desire, after which this son fell to temptation, and foolish wastage of his inheritance, where he lost everything, and during a terrible drought was forced to a degrading work of feeding pigs. While doing this, he had much time to contemplate his actions, thinking deeply and seriously about his behaviour or decisions. Most of it was done with impulsive and naïve motives without wisdom. Then a day arrived when he MADE A WISE DECISION. Verse 15 to 19 states as follows: At last he came to his senses and said, … I will get up and go to my father and say, “Father, I have sinned against God and against you. I am no longer fit to be called your son; treat me as one of your hired workers. So he got up and started back to his father. In Matthew 5:25 we see how Jesus advises us to be quick to agree with our adversary. That implied that we should settle our “wrongs” quickly. Jesus urged His followers to settle matters face to face, sooner rather than later, before ever getting to a judicial settlement or judgment. The longer we wait to come to terms with an antagonist, the worse the outcome will be for us. The amazing result with the mentioned prodigal son was that in verse 20 we see the Father who sees him RETURNING IN HUMBLE SUBMISSION, EMBRACES HIM WITH LOVE, HAS ALREADY FORGIVEN HIS SON FOR HIS FAILURES AND MISTAKES when the son pleaded for grace and pardon. Praise God for who HE IS. As such, God our Heavenly Father is just waiting for us to accept His outstretched hand and experience His love in Christ who died for our mistake and, failures, and sins undeservedly. My dear brother and Sister, please accept the LOVE OF GOD THROUGH HIS SON JESUS CHRIST, as He is faithful and His Word is TRUE. Test it and see for yourself what you can lose. Should you have a need for prayer or need guidance in this re3gard please share it in the comments as we at SATM (Southern Africa Truckers Ministry) would gladly assist and pray with you in whatever need you may face. Please be cautious and safe on the road and cherish your families.

- Serious about life? I would urge you to read Scripture for yourself, my dear friend. Do not allow the rush of our time to deceive you, as it is all in vain in the end if you and I disregard God's Word and do not "store up riches in heaven," as we all shall be kept accountable for our lives, whether we believe it or not. We are not here on earth by accident or due to a "Big Bang", living our dreams and personal goals, striving in all efforts to reach the set company target. Tomorrow it could be gone and a waste of time, what then? A greater consideration would be if we were to lose our lives today, and there is no chance for a change of mind, then it is too late. PLEASE MAKE TIME TODAY FOR GOD, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER THROUGH HIS SON JESUS CHRIST (John 14:6), WHO LAID DOWN HIS LIFE (Matt. 20:28, Is. 53) FOR YOU AND ME, SO THAT WHEN WE ACCEPT HIM (Joh. 3:16), WE SHOULD HAVE PEACE EVERLASTING (Is. 9:7, John 14:27, Is. 26:3, Phil. 4:7) TO HIS GLORY.

Let us as Followers of Christ in Faith, be practical when we share the Good News with those around us to His Glory and Honour and not talk a “vocabulary” that it is above those who do not know Jesus. Jesus used in that regard practical parables to make it understandable to those around Him. When serving within the Road Freight Industry as a Trucker, the Truck Cab is regarded as home, where most of the 750 000 TRUCKERS (in South Africa) spends most of their time, working, serving, eating and sleeping when resting. This Cab is built on a steel chassis, which provides a secure, sure drive en route, serving up to more than a million, even two million, kilometres in some instances. This chassis has specific requirements to provide a secure, stable basis for longevity. The National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) is responsible for administering compulsory specifications and the approval of vehicle models, including chassis designs. If these and other specifications are followed, this “structure” provides a firm and secure base for cabs fitted, which provides accommodation for TRUCK DRIVERS, when being “home” (in their truck cabs) for most of their TRUCK DRIVING LIVES/CAREERS. As such, we read in Scripture Luke 6:47 to 48 where Jesus teaches: “whoever comes to Me, and HEARS MY SAYINGS AND DOES THEM, I will show you whom he is like. He is like a man BUILDING A HOUSE, who dug deep and LAID THE FOUNDATION ON THE ROCK” (submitting and adhering to the required standard of holiness). SATM – Southern Africa Truckers Ministry are called to present guidance to receptive TRUCKERS, towards a solid foundation based on Scripture, where we all can find assured HOPE for our lives in Christ Jesus when we keep to His requirements by grace and BUILD OUR SPIRITUAL HOUSE ON THE ROCK (Jesus Christ, the Son of God, our Heavenly Father by the working of His Holy Spirit). Let us pray on behalf of these TRUCK DRIVERS covering the national road network of South Africa (and other SADC or neighbouring countries), while serving cross border while away from their loved ones for up to 6 months in many cases. These men and women need our intercession and love where they have no other outcome to provide for their families and bound to their cabs. Please be safe on the road and cherish your family who are with you.
