Isaiah 12:2-3 NIV Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great day. After walking with His disciples, one day, Jesus asked them two questions 1. Who do people say the Son of Man is? 2. Who do you say I am? Generally, we as human like dwelling so much on first question because we've been accustomed to not taking responsibility but want to use plurality to fit in in this world. In plurality, people were saying Jesus is probably resurrected John the Baptist, others Elijah, others Elijah and still others thought of him as one of the prophets. Isn't that a state of confusion? Indeed it is. The world was confused about Savior and so was their spiritual state and the same hasn't changed to this day! Are you one of those that are spiritually confused? Satan laughs at a spiritually confused person because he can speak to them half truth and mislead them completely away from the Savior! Do you know he also preaches using the Bible too? Ask Jesus when Jesus faced temptations and also look at those teaching cults and antichrists. Don't they misquote and misinterpret the Bible? The second question that Jesus asked is personal. "Who do you say I am?" Majority avoids this. Majority cannot answer it and if they do , they want to use plurality idea to answer it. It require more than flesh and blood to get it right. It requires a revelation! Simon Peter had received a revelation and so confidently answered "You're Messiah the Son of Living God!" This is the message from our verse today. God is our salvation, we should trust in Him and put away fears. Put away confusions from the world and make God your salvation. Hold on to Him as your strong defence. Draw water from the wells of salvation <- put away the world view of who God is , who your Savior is, read that Bible with desire to know who Jesus Christ is, pray about it, learn from Him and let Him lead you. Brethren, who do you say Jesus is? Who is He to you? God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.
