Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotion for today.

MD.i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. THURSDAY MAY 14, 2026.
"PRAYING JESUS' WAY (5)"

'...He will show you a way out…’  1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT

‘AS WE forgive our debtors’ (Matthew 6:12 NKJV). Forgiving others isn’t an option, it’s an obligation. Being forgiven depends on forgiving others. Young Robert Louis Stevenson’s family customarily prayed the Lord’s Prayer before dinner. One evening he left the table before they reached the part, ‘As we forgive our debtors.’ Asked why, he replied, ‘I’m not prepared to pray that prayer today’. Recognising his reluctance to forgive, he knew he couldn’t receive God’s forgiveness.  ‘If you forgive men…your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not…your Father will not forgive your sins’ (vv. 14-15 NIV). No matter how badly you’ve been wronged, God requires you to forgive.  ‘…Lead us not into temptation’ (v. 13 NIV). This seems odd in the light of God’s Word: ’‘When tempted, no one should ever say,  “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone’ (James 1:13 NIV). William Barclay says the Greek word used here for temptation means ‘testing’, as in the ordeals and trials of life. It refers to life’s stressful experiences. An athlete might use these words with his trainer, ‘Please don’t push me beyond my endurance!’ It calls for acknowledging three realities: 1) your human limits and vulnerabilities. 2) that God’s in charge of your testing. 3) that He wants you to ask for help and not try to handle it alone. ‘…God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand…He will show you a way out so that you can endure’ (1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT). He won’t just intervene on your behalf; He will use the experience to strengthen you spiritually.

MD.ii. INJURED PEOPLE COMING HOME

"Help, Lord, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race." - Psalm 12:1

In this Psalm, David looks around him and sees many people falling away from God. People who were holy and faithful are backsliding around him.

Although God will always have faithful and righteous believers, David had to cry out in sorrow! Today we live in a similar time. Jesus already predicted that many would fall away from their faith in the last days. My heart is sad when I see fine Christians turn back on their faith.

Feeling of guilt

One of the reasons people backslide is that they do not really understand the great and loving grace of God! Many have feeling of guilt and condemnation. When the evil one approaches you with his seduction tactics and before you even notice it, you are in the middle of his seduction... then the feelings of guilt will come. You are scared and say: 'O no, Lord.' You feel powerless. This is when so many Christians run away from God's loving and forgiving grace. They do not understand the meaning of God's grace and the evil one tells them: 'You will not make it! You fell back again. You have already asked for forgiveness so many times. It has to stop once you know!'

An ocean of mercy

These are real lies, because God has an ocean of mercy, love, patience and grace! Instead of rushing to God, many people run away from Him. James 5:11 says that 'the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.' And Nehemiah 9:17 says: 'But You are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love.'

God wants to take care of us, forgive us and help us. When we are wrong, we should not give up. He asks us to acknowledge our sins! Instead of running away, you should walk towards the Lord and acknowledge your sins. He forgives you. When we hate sin and love His goodness, God will fill us with His joy. God is able to and wants to forgive you!

2. Morning Prayer for today.

MP.ii. Morning Prayer

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. ⏤ Galatians 5:13

Let your religion be less of a theory and more of a love affair. ⏤ G.K. Chesterton

O God, who has redeemed us by the precious blood of the Lamb, help us to live for Your praise and glory in all that we do. Since Jesus Christ has died for us and we are not our own, we want to live lives worthy of Your holiness. We confess and renounce all our sins. Teach us to hate sin and give us the grace to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, to the glory of Your holy name.

We ask You to reveal Yourself to us this morning as we go forth and to give us the assurance of Your presence. You have promised that as our days are, so shall our strength be, and that Your grace will always be sufficient for us. We cling to these promises as we enter a new day whose experiences we cannot predict. We do not know what dangers we will encounter, what burdens will be placed on us, what temptations will whisper in our ears, what pitfalls will lie in our path, or what insidious influences will threaten the purity of our souls.

So we hide ourselves in You and trust You to keep us safe all day.

We desire to be useful and helpful to others. Save us from selfishness and self-centeredness. Teach us the great lesson of service. May we have the mind of Christ, who came not to be served but to serve. May we serve one another in love. May we live to help others and do good.

Help us to see the needs we can meet, to perceive the ways we can serve, and then give us the true spirit of ministry so that we may do the things that will bless others. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we may be like You. We ask all this in the name of our Savior. Amen.

Good evening, brethren.
1. Evening devotion for today.

ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
(COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

*DATE:*
WEDNESDAY 13TH MAY, 2026.

*SUB-THEME:*
RESPONSE TO GRACE.

*TOPIC:*
TRUTHFULNESS.

*TEXT:*
EPHESIANS 4:22-25.
22 Regarding your former way of life, you were taught to strip off your old nature, which is being ruined by its deceptive desires,
Col 3:9 Heb 12:1 1Pe 2:1 [Col 3:5] [Col 3:8]
23 to be renewed in your mental attitude,
[Rom 6:4] [1Pe 2:1]
24 and to clothe yourselves with the new nature, which was created according to God’s image in righteousness and true holiness.
Rom 6:4 Col 3:10 1Pe 4:2 [Gen 1:27] [Eph 2:10]
25 Therefore, stripping off falsehood, “let each of us speak the truth to his neighbor,” for we belong to one another.
Zec 8:16 [Col 3:9]

*TOPIC:*
TRUTHFULNESS.

*THE MESSAGE:*
The life of a born-again child of God shows. He seldom does the things he used to do. He conducts himself differently. His desires and attitudes of believers to put off falsehood and speak the truth have changed for the better. Paul charges believers to put off falsehood and speak the truth to one another. Lying to each other disrupts the unity of the body of Christ. It tears down relationships, destroys trust, and creates conflict within the body of Christ. The body of Christ can only function properly when we tell the truth no matter the situation. Thence shall we know where it hurts-to soothe, broken-to mend, and sick-to heal. Remember, lying is the language of Satan, so avoid it in the body of Christ. Always be truthful in your dealings.

*REFLECTION:*
Graciously speak the truth always!

*PRAYER:*
Father, help me to be truthful always, in Jesus' name. Amen.

*MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
TITUS 2:12.
It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age.

*TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
ESTHER 3-4.

Word of God

What an astonishing few years the twelve disciples had as they walked with Christ. Twelve men, chosen of God to walk the path to the cross – with God incarnate. God Who at sundry times and in diverse manners spoke through the prophets. For three and a half years spoke through His own human voice – God spoke through the Man Christ Jesus.

Son of God

God in His justice cannot look upon sin – for the wages of sin is death. God in His love discovered a way to have those sins forgiven, forever. God is His wisdom sent His only begotten Son that we could have life – His Life.

Son of Man

God – the invisible God, can not look upon sin and hid His pure face from sinful man. God in the His mercy, sought to manifest Himself fully in the last days, through Christ, God in His grace towards us opened our understanding of Himself, through Jesus. All the fullness of the knowledge of God is only and exclusively – through Christ, All the secret things of God – the mystery of Godliness was summed up in Him, And in the fullness of time God sent His Son, born of a woman to walk this earth.

In Christ Jesus

All God ‘s works were performed through the Word – the Word Who became flesh. All God’s blessings and healings – flow through faith in the Man, Christ Jesus, for in Him all things were made and by Him all things hold together. All the blessings of God are poured through the cleansing blood of the Saviour.. so that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and on earth—in Him.” Ephesians 1:10

Knowing Jesus

What an astonishing few years the twelve disciples had as they walked with Jesus. They thought they knew their Lord as they walked with Him and listened to Him.. yet only hours before his death He had to ask, “have I been with you so long – and yet you have not known Me, Philip?” John 14:9

Revelation of God

We are told that no one knows the Son, save the Father. All that the Son was and is and is to be – was locked up in the heart of God, and yet- it was in the heart of the Father to give revelation of His truth.. For without God’s revelation we cannot know Him.. for no one knows the Father except the Son – and the ones to whom the Son will reveal Him. Matthew 11:27 Yet He was despised – rejected of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.

Faith in Jesus

For 3½ years the very revelation of God walked this earth, but He was not accepted. He came unto His own creation and His own people did not receive Him, but as many as did receive Him to them He gave the power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on Him name. Romans 8:14 God has made His position very clear, yet very few truly receive His truth. There is one way and one way alone to come to the Father, and that is through faith – Faith in what? Faith in the Son.

Faith in God

His own people believed in God – the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Many more believe in a distant creator God, Who rules from the heavens.. but belief in God, faith in God, trust in God…. must be translated into faith in Christ Jesus the Lord. In his own home-town – the little Jewish town of Nazareth, they believed in God, Neighbours travelled to Jerusalem thrice yearly to worship God as the law instructed,

Blessing of God

Yet they didn’t receive the blessing of God… like the blessing given to the leper… the blessing given to the blind… blessing given to the lame – the blessing given to woman with an issue of blood…”For he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” Mark 6:5

Offended in Christ

It was not their unbelief in God. It was not their unbelief in the coming expected Messiah. They believed in God and they believed in the expected Messiah, but they were offended in Him –in Jesus –in God’s revelation of Himself.

Access Through Christ

For it is only through the faith in the Son of God, Who loves me … that I live : Faith in the Son of Man – Who gave Himself for me…. that I am forgiven : Faith in the Servant King – Who broke the power of sin and death in me – that I have access to the throne room of the Father, and I am permitted to call Him Abba, Father. Romans 8:15

God Incarnate

What an astonishing few years the twelve disciples had as they walked with Jesus. Twelve men chosen by God to walk the path to the cross, with God incarnate, yet even after His resurrection some did not believe – some of His own hand-picked apostles doubted Him.

In The Faith

Do you trust in the Lord, Christ Jesus and in Him alone…? Do you have faith in the Son of God – the Son of Man… God incarnate ? “According to your faith (in the One Revelation of God Himself) be it unto you.” “According to your faith (in the Lord Jesus Christ) let it be to you.” “Be of good cheer, your faith (in the Son of Man) has made you well.” “Go your way; your faith (in the Son of God) has made you whole.” “Great is thy faith (in Me) …Be it unto thee even as thou wilt”. Let us examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith (in Christ alone)

2. Evening prayer for today.

EP.i. Evening Prayer

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. ⏤ Psalm 4:8

A quiet heart is content with what God gives. ⏤ Elisabeth Elliot

Our waiting eyes are on You, O Lord, this evening. The close of each day adds to our debt of gratitude for Your mercies and favors. We are not worthy of even the least of all Your goodness and loving-kindness, for we have sinned against You. Yet we hope in Your mercy and cast ourselves on Your grace.

We thank You for the protection You have given us this day. We have gone out and come in, and You have kept us safe. You have blessed our home life, keeping us from harm, providing for our needs, and giving us strength for duty. You have blessed us in our work, giving us some measure of success and enabling us to continue in our place and do our tasks.

We thank You for the grace You have given us to resist temptation, to bear our daily crosses, and to witness for You among others.

Great Shepherd of all Your redeemed people, we ask You to take each member of our family into Your special care tonight. We cannot protect ourselves from the dangers of the darkness, so we entrust our lives to Your gracious keeping. May Your holy angels watch over our home. You who never slumber, keep watch over us.

We pray for all our friends and neighbors. They have different needs, and we cannot know what each one requires, but You know. Grant each one what will be the truest blessing. Lead them in right paths. Let none of them be eternally lost. Remember Your church and give it spiritual enrichment. And to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be glory forever. Amen.
