DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 135
DATE: 15TH MAY 2026
TOPIC: CRUCIFYING THE FLESH FOR MANIFESTATION
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: ROMANS 8:19 (NKJV)
“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.”
Devotional Message:

Scripture declares that creation eagerly waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. This means that the world is longing for believers who will fully reveal the nature, power, wisdom, and glory of God through surrendered lives.

However, one of the greatest enemies to manifestation is the flesh.

The flesh opposes the Spirit and constantly seeks to draw a person away from God’s will through uncontrolled appetites, desires, emotions, and passions. Many destinies, assignments, and callings have been hindered because individuals yielded to the cravings of the flesh rather than the leading of the Spirit.

Esau traded his birthright because he could not control his appetite. Samson lost strength, purpose, and eventually his life because of uncontrolled desires. Gehazi lost his spiritual inheritance through greed, while Judas Iscariot lost his mandate because of covetousness and betrayal.

Beloved, fleshly appetites can rob a person of divine purpose and spiritual authority if they are not brought under subjection.Yet Scripture also shows us men who stood out because they subdued the flesh.

Noah remained righteous in the midst of a corrupt generation because he walked with God faithfully. Joseph overcame temptation because he valued his relationship with God above temporary pleasure and refused to defile himself.

Jesus Christ, our perfect example, demonstrated ultimate surrender when He submitted His will to the Father even unto death. Though the path was painful, He chose obedience over the desires of the flesh, and through that surrender God glorified Himself through His life.

Likewise, if God is to reveal His glory through us, we too must crucify the flesh daily. This includes overcoming:Lust and immorality,Anger and unforgiveness,Drunkenness and addictions,Pride and selfish ambition,Greed and covetousness and Every desire that opposes God’s will

The flesh and the Spirit are always in conflict, but victory comes when we walk in the Spirit and continually surrender ourselves to God.If you desire to impact generations and reveal God’s glory, then you must daily bring your flesh under subjection.

Do not allow temporary pleasures to destroy eternal purpose. Choose obedience, purity, holiness, and submission to the Holy Spirit. For when the flesh is subdued, the life of Christ is revealed more clearly through us, and generations are transformed by the glory of God manifested in surrendered vessels.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help me to crucify every desire of the flesh that fights against Your will in my life. Strengthen me by Your Spirit to walk in purity, obedience, holiness, and self-control. Teach me to surrender my will fully to You just as Jesus did. May Your glory be revealed through my life and may many be impacted for Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
