Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. Proverbs 16:3
I thought it strange that one would commit his works unto the LORD and not his thoughts. Since my husband was near I asked him, “why wouldn't you commit your thoughts to the LORD and from there you would get your works”. Immediately as I asked him that , it occurred to me that God sees the end of a thing before the beginning. When God calls us to Himself, He is calling the perfected version, when He called out to me, I heard HIM in my imperfection, in my homelessness, in my addiction, in my time of desperation, my righteousness was and still is as filthy rags, but He called to me, He called to the woman of God, He called out to the teacher in me, He called out to the leader in me. He knew what I was capable of, so He called out to LISA that was His daughter, He called out to His daughter that loves the Word of God and can read, study, teach, and preach His Word. He called out to the blood-bought child of God. His work was a done deal, His thoughts had to create it or rather me.
God. I commit a happy marriage to You, now my thoughts will be established and I can create that happy marriage, God I commit a successful career to You, now my thoughts can be established and I can create success, God works backward., from end to beginning. Visualize your works and think them through, in Jesus’ name.
