  • Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. Proverbs 16:3
I thought it strange that one would commit his works unto the LORD and not his thoughts. Since my husband was near I asked him, “why wouldn't you commit your thoughts to the LORD and from there you would get your works”. Immediately as I asked him that , it occurred to me that God sees the end of a thing before the beginning. When God calls us to Himself, He is calling the perfected version, when He called out to me, I heard HIM in my imperfection, in my homelessness, in my addiction, in my time of desperation, my righteousness was and still is as filthy rags, but He called to me, He called to the woman of God, He called out to the teacher in me, He called out to the leader in me. He knew what I was capable of, so He called out to LISA that was His daughter, He called out to His daughter that loves the Word of God and can read, study, teach, and preach His Word. He called out to the blood-bought child of God. His work was a done deal, His thoughts had to create it or rather me.
God. I commit a happy marriage to You, now my thoughts will be established and I can create that happy marriage, God I commit a successful career to You, now my thoughts can be established and I can create success, God works backward., from end to beginning. Visualize your works and think them through, in Jesus’ name.

  • Proverbs 13:1 A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.
Instruction is the act of teaching, training, or providing detailed directions, orders, or commands to guide someone in performing a task.
A rebuke is a sharp, stern expression of disapproval or a reprimand. Used to scold or to criticize.
I so much more appreciate those phone calls from my boss that give me wisdom, understanding and knowledge than the call that's letting me know I made a mistake. I should have asked for help, I could have just said, “ I don't know how”.
My boss is worse than either of my parents were, cause they birthed me, I was created by them. They loved me. With my boss. “It's just business”.
I learned the hard way that it's okay to ask for help, we don't have to do life on our own. Arrogance, pride, embarrassment or shame can all lead to not admitting you need help. I am at the age where I don't want to hear reprimands, fussing or arguing or even an “I told you so “ speech.
It is so much better to take instruction than it is to take a rebuke.
I have learned that staying in the Word, striving to be like Jesus will lead to better days in comparison to doing it my way. If I try to do things on my own, I can really make a mess, but if I look to the Word of God, ask others who have gone before me for advice or instruction, life is so much easier and more fulfilling.
A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.
I hope to be counted as wise.
2 Timothy 3:17,17: All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
    Amen.

  • Good morning, I am tired. As I am trying to get ready for work today my body, mind and spirit are so exhausted and weak. I was looking back as to what could be the cause when I was reminded of the Word which states, the joy of the LORD is my strength. Well, I missed church Sunday, I opted to cover my store so that both of my assistants could celebrate Mother's Day, one with her Mom, the other with her children. Missing the time of corporate worship, when we are in unity singing praise to God which is the Joy of the LORD has to be the reason for my physical and mental and spiritual exhaustion. OH how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. When we come together in worship that is when we bring joy to our Father, that is where our supernatural strength comes from. Oh, a lesson has been learned.

  • Pretty Place in South Carolina, we rode 960 miles om our motorcycle in a week, sharing the gospel, passing out Bibles and making memories. God brought us to some beautiful places and we met some beautiful people. From the mountains of the Carolinas to the beach of Georgia.

  • So thankful, after a long day at work the hubby asked if I wanted to go out for dinner, praise God. I am so blessed.
