DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 138
DATE: 18TH MAY 2026
TOPIC: DO NOT KILL YOUR JOSEPH
Anchor Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:4 (NKJV)
“Love does not envy…”
Devotional Message:
Many people have unknowingly destroyed relationships, opportunities, and destinies because of envy, jealousy, competition, and selfish ambition.
In Scripture, Joseph’s brothers failed to understand that Joseph’s rising was connected to their own preservation and destiny. Instead of celebrating the grace and purpose of God upon his life, they became jealous and sought to kill him. What they did not realize was that the same Joseph they rejected was the vessel God had prepared to preserve their family and future during famine.
Likewise, many people today have “killed” or wounded their own Josephs and Moseses through envy, bitterness, gossip, hatred, rejection, and competition.
God designed us like stars—each carrying unique glory, grace, and assignment. Though one star may shine brighter in a certain season or area, its light was never meant to diminish others but to benefit and uplift many.
The Body of Christ was designed to function together, not against one another. The rising of one believer should become a source of joy and encouragement to others because destinies in the Kingdom are interconnected. When one person rises according to God’s purpose, many others are also positioned for lifting, breakthrough, guidance, and preservation.
Sadly, the enemy has used jealousy and unhealthy competition to divide families, friendships, ministries, and churches. Instead of walking in love and unity, many have allowed pride and insecurity to make them fight against the very people God intended to use as blessings in their lives.
Beloved, love celebrates the success, grace, and lifting of others. When we walk in genuine love:We support rather than compete, encourage rather than pull down, celebrate others instead of envying them and understand that another person’s success is not our failure. The Kingdom advances when believers work together in unity, humility, and love.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, deliver me from envy, jealousy, pride, and unhealthy competition. Teach me to genuinely love, support, and celebrate others. Help me to recognize and value the people You have connected to my destiny. Let me become a builder of unity and encouragement within the Body of Christ. May Your love rule my heart always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
