Luke 15:18 NIV I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great morning. Today we reflect on coming back home. There's this hymn that says 'Nĩnjangĩte o kũraya ma...' (I've wandered far away). It used to be sang during altar calls long time ago. It has this deep message that for a fact isn't only for those coming to receive Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior but much more to them that are already born again. Personally, it speaks to me especially when I am so burdened in my heart about a given sin. Looking back at the parable of lost son as told by Jesus, it is the son who had made decision to leave his father's house. It is still the same son after loosing all he had inherited decided to come back to the father. Probably he hadn't counted the cost of being away from his father as he eagerly waited freedom to go and enjoy life like he was seeing others do. Sometimes I feel like slapping someone claiming that the world like clubbing there's more love than in church. I feel this as a comparison between Hell and Heaven. From the story, the lost son did not loose the wisdom and so never blamed his father but rather himself and by doing so made the right decision to return home. He was ready to swallow the outcomes of his disobedience but father who on this case represent God had no plan to punish him! God never forsake us brethren; we are the ones who run away from Him and sometimes we foolishly begin looking Him where He is not. You will never find God in your sin; you must repent; you must return to God by turning away from your sins. God is always ready to embrace us and show us love that world or relatives can. We must however make the decision! You've been granted the freedom! God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.
