Necessity of prayer-8
Syllabus-8
"A son was born before the womb was in pain. Who has ever heard of such a thing?" Isaiah 66:7
Before a child is born, the mother goes through labor pains. Labor pains are closely related to childbirth. Without labor pains, no child can be born. Therefore, prayer can be compared to labor pains. God wants to work, but he needs a praying person who cries out. The prayers of those who have a groaning heart are especially needed for the salvation of others' souls. The Lord Jesus himself, while in the flesh, prayed "with loud cries and tears." Hebrews 5:7. Again, in Isaiah 53:12, we see that "he was poured out to the point of death." His heart was so aching to save sinful people that he constantly pleaded with the Father for them. Isaiah 53:12. He still pleads with the Father as our High Priest for all of us. Hebrews 7:25. He said to Peter, "I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail." Luke 22:32. The root of Peter's faith is found in the Lord Jesus' prayer, and He commanded, "When you have turned again, strengthen your brothers." Luke 22:32. So when we are saved by the Lord's prayer, and are strengthened in the Christian life, we also have a great need to save others. For this, we also need to pray to the Father constantly.
Abraham pleaded with God to save Lot. So God sent an angel to rescue Lot's family. Lot was not saved by his righteousness, but by Abraham's plea. That is why we need to cry out for others!
"I am suffering the pains of childbirth again, until...
Christ is manifested in you.". Galatians 4:19.
