Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotion for today.

MD.i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. THURSDAY MAY 21, 2026.

"HOW IS YOUR WORK'S ETHIC? (2)"
She quickly lowered her jar from her shoulder and said, 'Drink and I will water your camels..........Genesis 24:46 NIV

WHEN ABRAHAM’S servant arrived in the town of Nahor, a young woman named Rebekah offered to give him a drink of water. When he had finished drinking, Rebekah said, ‘I’ll water your camels, too.’ We are told that she ‘quickly’ emptied her jar into the trough and ran back to the well. It all sounds fairly unremarkable, until you read between the lines: one gallon of water weighs eight pounds. A thirsty camel can drink up to thirty gallons of water and there were ten camels. Do the maths. Rebekah is drawing three hundred gallons of water for a stranger. She does all that could be reasonably expected of her—and then some. This was a pivotal moment in her life. Because of her act of service, Rebekah became the wife of Isaac and went on to the adventure of a lifetime, becoming part of sacred history. To this day, her name is remembered and revered by people of faith. Rebekah did not know all that was at stake that day. She did not offer to draw three hundred gallons of water because she knew what the reward could be. It was simply an expression of her heart. Rebekah proved the truth of Scripture: ‘Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper’ (Proverbs 13:4 NLT). Where did we get the idea that it is wrong to give, expecting a return, or serve, expecting a reward? Certainly not from the Bible! Some of our rewards will come in this lifetime, others in the next one. But, ‘You know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does’ (Ephesians 6:8 NIV).

MD.ii. TO REACH OUR GOAL

"But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:13-14

Two important elements are needed to be able to achieve great things for God: to have a goal and to live in pursuit of it! As the body of Christ (the Church) we must have a set goal in mind. It is important to hold on to the vision of God's goals. This will give us a strong desire to live in pursuit of victory. Both collectively as the church and individually for each member, it is crucial to be aware of God's presence through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

In addition, saving the sinners through the message of the Lord Jesus Christ is the mission for every believer. At the same time, we have to educate those we lead to Jesus in the Word of God so they will become spiritually mature.

The Johan Maasbach World Mission Foundation has the sacred calling to save souls from eternal damnation. Our mission, given to us by God, is to shine our light in this dark world.

To achieve this goal, we must grow in:

A) the anointing of God's Spirit;

B) the number of workers;

C) partners and friends who support the work financially.

To grow is of great relevance in order to achieve the purpose of God in our lives. The key to grow and augment is: the Lord will provide!

That God may manifest Himself through us as Jehovah Jireh. Jehovah Jireh will not only provide for our needs, but also for your needs.

2. Morning Prayer for today.

MP.i. Morning Prayer

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct [my prayer] unto thee, and will look up. ⏤ Psalm 5:3

The greatest tragedy of life is not unanswered prayer, but unoffered prayer. ⏤ F.B. Meyer

O God, we come to You with nothing but our needs and a meager return of gratitude from our flawed hearts. But we are glad to know that You welcome us even with our needs and sins. Reveal Your love to us so clearly that it kindles our love for You, teaching us to love You more.

This morning calls us to praise and thanksgiving. We’ve slept and awakened, preserved and refreshed by Your care. Our lives have been renewed through sleep, and now the sun shines on us again, bringing us joy. Give us a Father’s morning blessing as we step into the duties of this new day. Purify our hearts so that our thoughts and feelings may be pure. Grant us diligence, honesty, truthfulness, and a spirit of service so that we may carry out our tasks in a way that honors Your name.

May we learn more and more how to walk with Jesus in the ordinary days, the week-days, so that they too may be brightened by Your grace. Preserve us from foolishness, idle words, and anything that would profane our lives or damage the impression we leave on others. May our daily walk be a living gospel. May we be a blessing to everyone we meet. Keep us from discouraging others. Help us to live in such a way that everyone who knows us will find it easier to be true, holy, and happy.

Grant us now a Father’s morning blessing. Then we will be stronger throughout the day, safe amid temptation, and able to live sweetly and for You, through Jesus Christ. Amen.
