*DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 143*
*DATE: 23RD MAY 2026*
*TOPIC: SEE YOURSELF THROUGH THE LENS OF GOD’S WORD _2*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: PROVERBS 4:23 (NKJV)*
*“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.”*
*Devotional Message:*
Yesterday we saw that many people begin to live below God’s purpose because of wrong thoughts that eventually become words, actions, and ultimately a lifestyle. What begins in the mind eventually shapes destiny.
That is why Scripture calls believers to guard their hearts and minds diligently. The mind is a battlefield, and the enemy often attacks believers through negative thoughts, fear, inferiority, discouragement, condemnation, and lies meant to distort identity and purpose. If such thoughts are not resisted, they eventually influence speech, behavior, and direction in life.
However, God has given believers a remedy—the Word of God.When we consistently feed our minds with Scripture through reading, meditation, and fellowship with God, our thinking begins to change. Apostle Paul instructs believers to think on things that are true, pure, just, lovely, and of good report. This renewal of the mind helps us begin to see life from God’s perspective rather than through fear, negativity, or worldly limitations.
Meditation upon God’s Word transforms thoughts, and transformed thoughts produce life-giving words.Jesus declared that His words were spirit and life. Likewise, believers are called to speak words filled with faith, hope, truth, and life according to God’s promises.
Scripture also teaches that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Therefore, when the heart is filled with God’s Word, the mouth begins to speak life rather than defeat, faith rather than fear, and hope rather than despair.
As believers:We must intentionally guard what enters our minds, give ourselves to daily meditation upon Scripture, reject negative and destructive thoughts, speak in agreement with God’s Word and act according to truth and faith.
The Lord instructed Joshua to meditate on the Book of the Law day and night so that he would prosper and succeed in fulfilling his assignment.
True transformation begins from within. For when the Word of God governs the heart, life and transformation become evident outwardly.
*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father, help me to guard my heart and mind diligently. Renew my thinking through Your Word and remove every negative thought, fear, and lie of the enemy from my life. Fill my heart with truth, faith, and life. Teach me to meditate on Your Word daily and to speak words that align with Your promises. Let my thoughts, speech, and actions glorify You always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
*Daily Bible Reading:*
Proverbs 4:20–27, Joshua 1:8, Philippians 4:8, Romans 12:1–2
