God asked Abraham to offer his only son as burnt offering and it has to be done in a particular mountain in a city far from where he lives. Abraham travelled and on the third day of his journey he saw the place. Abraham did everything possible to obey God.
The questions before us are:
How far are we willing to go in obeying God?
How much are we going to ignore and endure just to obey God?
How much pressure are we willing to withstand in obeying the Lord?
How willing are we going to displease ourselves in order to obey God?
How determined are we in obeying the Lord?
How steadfast will we be in obeying the Lord?
What offence are we ready to forgive so as to be free to obey God?
Many times we claim the blessings by faith while we ignore the genuine obedience to God. Christianity is not a call to claim something because Christ has paid the price, but a call to obey God because Christ has brought us the enabling grace.
Know this: OBEDIENCE IS FAR GREATER THAN PRAYER. Obedience makes prayer and faith confession powerful.
Let's come out from every form of hypocrisy and genuinely obey God by going to any extent it would require.
