Prayer Ministry-2

Syllabus-12

"At that time people began to call on the name of the Lord. Genesis 4:26

God separated the descendants of Seth from the descendants of wicked Cain. When Seth's descendants had many children, they began to call on the name of the Lord.

In ancient times, the descendants of Seth were called the sons of God because they were servants of the true God. Cain was a murderer and cursed. God separated the descendants of Seth from them and revealed himself to them. They truly recognized God and began to call on his name.

In fact, prayer is a natural ministry of every believer. No believer can have a life without prayer. When we are saved, the Lord Jesus begins to live in our hearts. We are called His children (John 1:12). We are established in a close relationship with Him. Our prayers then become alive and real.

Prayer is communion with God. Just as children love to be near their father and converse with him, so is prayer. It is not to appease an angry god by chanting mantras. Or to achieve something by invoking evil spirits. It is a means of union between father and son. It is a sweet touch. Just as the father is pleased by it, the person praying also gains immense peace, joy and strength in his heart. Blessed are those who devote themselves to the ministry of prayer.

King David said, “My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?” Psalm 42:2. This should be our condition too.

"One thing I have asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life."
Ps. 27:4.
