Pentecost reminds me of a wind that comes barreling down off the high country — the kind that rattles barn doors and lets a man know he ain’t in charge of much.
That’s how it was in that upper room. God sent a wind that didn’t just move the air… it moved people.

> “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind…” — Acts 2:2
> “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit…” — Acts 2:4

Those disciples walked in scared and unsure.
They walked out like men who’d been branded by heaven — bold, steady, and carrying the fire of God.

Pentecost is a reminder that the Lord still pours out His Spirit on regular folks like us — ranch hands, well drillers, teachers, mamas, grandpas, and anyone willing to saddle up and follow Jesus.

> “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you…” — Acts 1:8

So on this Pentecost Sunday, may the same wind that filled that room fill our hearts again.
Come, Holy Spirit. Ride with us today.
