" WHOSE 'REPORT' WILL YOU BELIEVE?"
'...You will live safely in the land and prosper' Ps 37:3 NLT
FRANK FUREDI documented an increasing use of fear in the media by counting the appearances of the term āat riskā in British newspapers. In 1994 the term appeared 2,037 times. By the end of the next year the total had doubled. During the year 2000, āat riskā was printed more than 18,000 times. Now, did world danger increase ninefold in six years? Or are we just getting the bad news faster, in real time? āInformation overloadā has produced the most medicated generation known to man. Not only do we need antidepressants and tranquilisers, our children do, too. Even our pets are taking them! Thank God for increased medical knowledge, but you have to ask, āHow did folks in the old days get by? What did they do when they were stressed out?ā Here are words some of them woke up with every morning and went to bed with every night: āDonāt worry about the wicked or envy those who do wrong. For like grass, they soon fade away. Like spring flowers, they soon wither. Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord and He will give you your heartās desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help youā¦Be still in the presence of the Lord and wait patiently for Him to actā¦The Lord rescues the godly; He is their fortress in times of trouble. The Lord helps them, rescuing them from the wicked. He saves them, and they find shelter in Himā (Psalms 37:1-7, 39-40 NLT).

MD.ii. COLLECT MY TEARS IN YOUR BOTTLE
"You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in Your bottle. You have recorded each one in Your book." - Psalm 56:8
When David was captured by the Philistines in Gath, he poured out his heart to God in this Psalm. King Saul had been chasing David for years to kill him, and David had to flee from cave to cave. Through all the wandering and misery, David calls out to God and says: 'You keep track of all my sorrows.'
He sees our sorrow
This Bible scripture tells us that the great almighty God is aware of all our difficulties. He knows all our pain and sorrow. It says that God has a bottle, a jug, in which He collects and stores our tears.
Crocodile tears
It is crucial to understand the type of tears this refers to. They are not crocodile tears, but real tears of sorrow and regret. The difference between Saul and David was that Saul regretted what he had done when he was in danger of losing everything because of his disobedience. However, when David committed adultery, he called out to God: 'against You, You only, have I sinned' (Psalm 51:4). Tears of true repentance rolled there. Not all tears come in God's bottle. Millions of tears are shed as a result of immoral lives, but none of them come into God's bottle.
When real tears are shed, when someone regrets his sins and mistakes or cries because of the moral state of the nations, those tears penetrate the Father's heart of God. God collects such tears in His bottle. They are jewels in His eyes.
There is nothing more beautiful than when a sinner comes to God with a repentant heart and gives his or her heart to Jesus, while tears of regret roll down his cheeks.
God keeps record and such tears are like a memorial stone to Him.

2. Morning Prayer for today.
MP.i. Morning Prayer
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. ⤠Romans 12:1
He who runs from God in the morning will scarcely find Him the rest of the day. ⤠John Bunyan
Almighty God, the Father of us all, in whom we live and move and have our beingāwe worship You and give thanks to Your great and holy name. Our hearts are full of memories of Sunday. May we be like those who have walked among fragrant flowers, carrying the scent on our very garments. May we be more joyful, more trusting, more holy, more loving, and more prayerful because of the holy influences that saturated our lives yesterday.
You are the God of the evening and the morning. Every day reveals where You have walked in love. We thank You for this day that now shines upon us. We need Your presence with us through all its hours, for we donāt know what they hold for us:
what duties,
what problems that must be solved,
what decisions that must be made,
what responsibilities that must be met,
what surprises of joy or sorrow,
what temptations,
what conflicts,
what dangers.
We donāt knowābut You do, and weāre not afraid to leave it all in Your hands. Bless us with peace, wisdom, and strength for whatever lies ahead. Take our hands and guide us.
We consecrate ourselves to You this day, O God, for life and service. We are Yours, and we present ourselves as a living sacrifice to You. We want to live only for You. Help us to renounce all claims on ourselves and truly be Yours. If we are called to any hard duty, task, or serviceāgive us the grace to accept Your will cheerfully and to do what pleases You. Work deeply in us by Your Spirit, continuing the renewal of our nature, and building us up in holiness and righteousness, through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
