PROSPERITY IN THE LORD

A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"So Jotham became mighty, because he ordered his ways before the LORD his God." 2 Chronicles 27:6 ESV.

The context of our anchor Scripture ideates the achievement of success that is in alignment with the will of God and His purpose, and highlights a fruitful and blessed life that is a result of living and walking in obedience to God. It also lays emphasis on the truthful fact that true success is rooted and anchored in a righteous relationship with God and following His leading.

Most people become successful in life and life's endeavours because they are well prepared. There's no success by accident just as there's no successful "accident".
Of Jotham, the Bible records that "... He did what was right in the sight of the LORD...." (verse 2 NKJV). It is obvious that he knew what he wanted and what would hinder those godly desires of his heart also, and he made deliberate and pain-staking efforts to get in sync with God in preparation. His success was not against the run of play, or by accident, but a deliberate personal decision to achieve good success and prosperity in the LORD.

It is not enough to just proclaim your faith in God's ability to honour His word and promises concerning, and to you, but how much of foundational preparation have you made?

PRAYER BULLETS:

Father LORD, give me the grace to depend fully on You to achieve good success in life, in Jesus name.

FURTHER READING:

Joshua 1:6-9; Psalm 37:4; Proverbs 16:3; Philippians 4:13; James 4:10.
