Daily scripture: Matthew 6:7-8 “When you pray, do not use a lot of meaningless words, as the pagans do, who think that their gods will hear them because their prayers are long. Do not be like them. Your Father already knows what you need before you ask him.” Isn’t this wonderful, child of God? God KNOWS your needs even before you voice it in prayer. This is how close God is to His children, He understands you better than you understand yourself.There is no need for hours of prayer, like the scripture says, it’s what the pagans do. They think that the longer and louder their prayers, the quicker their false gods will hear. God, however, is real. He lives in each of us through the Holy Spirit, which means we have a direct connection with Him. Yes, He wants you to pray, but He does not need all the detail of your needs. He already knows it.You can be comforted by the thought that you have a God that will fulfill all your needs, even those you leave out when you pray, because He GETS you.Are you one for long prayers?
