Good morning, brethren.

THE WORD FOR TODAY. TUESDAY MAY 26, 2026.
"HOLY COMMUNION"
'...This is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’
1 Corinthians 11:24 NKJ
HERE ARE three reasons you need to partake of Holy Communion: 1) To make you grace-minded. No one will ever stand in heaven and say, ‘Look what Jesus and I have accomplished.’ If you had to pay one penny of your debt of sin, it would make you a co-redeemer with Christ. What an offence to the cross! (Ephesians 2:8-9.) Hymnist Horatio Spafford wrote: ‘My sin, oh the bliss of this glorious thought. My sin, not in part but the whole, is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!’ 2) To keep you sensitive to sin. ‘…Let a man examine himself and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself…’ (1 Corinthians 11:28-29 NKJV). You say, ‘If I sin and take communion, does that mean I’m drinking liquid damnation?’ No, it’s the ‘manner’ in which you approach God that counts. You don’t have to avoid the communion cup; you need only confess your sin, then drink deeply with gratitude. 3) To keep you focused on Christ’s return. ‘…I will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God’ (Mark 14:25 NKJV). Every communion service brings you one step closer to the greatest communion service of all: the marriage supper of the Lamb in heaven (Revelation 19:7). Are you planning on being there?

MD.ii. WHEN YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND GOD
"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways." - Isaiah 55:8
Many things happen in the lives of God's children which we do not understand. We could write books about these. All these circumstances raise many questions we would like God to answer. Yet God often remains silent. And this is what disappoints and confuses people. In the end, many get frustrated and use this as a reason to leave church. However, they forget that without God there is no hope. Yet there is a way to get through the biggest crisis.
Why me?
If your question is also: 'Lord, why me, why should this happen to me? I have called to You and You give me no explanation. Let me know what Your purpose is,' then the abovementioned Bible scripture is your answer. God does not have to respond to you. If God chooses to remain silent, you will have to do with that. God's thoughts simply are not like our thoughts and His plans are not like ours. When we accept this, we will have a peace in our hearts which is beyond human understanding.
Paul says in 1 Corinthians 13:12: 'For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.' In other words, there will come a time that we will be with God and will fully understand why all these things had to happen.
Accept that God is not giving you an explanation yet. This is the moment for this one element to be visible in you; FAITH! Faith always justifies God in whatever circumstances. People with such faith always conquer. They hold on tight to God. They know that He is a merciful and gracious God and that in all things He works for the good in our lives (see Romans 8:28).

2. Morning Prayer for today.
MP.i. Morning Prayer
A Psalm of David. The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. ⏤ Psalm 23:1-3
He who has learned to pray has learned the greatest secret of a holy and happy life. ⏤ William Law
O Light of the hearts that trust You, Life of the souls that love You, and Strength of all who seek Your face—grant us Your grace as we begin this day. We thank You for the mercies of the night. You have brought us back from the seeming death of sleep. We place our hands in Yours and ask You to guide us throughout the day.
Be our Good Shepherd. Lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Be our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. Teach us to do Your will. Incline our hearts to walk in Your ways. Help us to love Your commandments. Renew our hearts continually, so that we love doing what is right and hate whatever is wrong.
We will need Your divine wisdom all day long. Help us to conduct our affairs in a way that pleases You. May all our business be Your business. May our work at home be done without worry. Help us to bear the trials and endure the challenges of life as our blessed Master did, without fretting or complaining, but with patience and joy. Grant us the patience, forbearance, meekness, and joy to make this day holy and beautiful, as we stay near You and live by Your help and grace.
Allow no temptation to endanger our souls, but with every temptation make a way for us to escape, so we do not fall away into eternal death. Let us not yield to unholy influences, but may we be more than conquerors in all things through Him who loved us. We ask these mercies, humbly confessing our sins, through Jesus our Redeemer. Amen.
