*🕊️ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 146* *DATE: 26TH MAY 2026* *TOPIC: PREPARED FOR THE OPPORTUNITY* *ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:— 1 Samuel 17:45 (NKJV)* *“Then David said to the Philistine, ‘You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.’”* Devotional Message: Opportunities are often disguised as battles, challenges, or moments that require courage and preparation. The ability to seize and maximize such opportunities depends greatly on one’s level of preparedness. David is a powerful example of this truth. Before David ever appeared publicly before Goliath, he had already been prepared privately in the secret place. While many did not notice him in the wilderness and in the caves, God was building courage, faith, skill, dependence, and confidence within him. When the opportunity finally came, the difference became evident. The armies of Israel, including David’s older brothers, were terrified by Goliath because they looked at the battle through natural eyes. But David viewed the situation differently because his confidence was rooted in God. When he heard the Philistine defying the armies of the living God, holy boldness rose within him. Though others looked down upon him because of his youth and appearance, David knew the battle was not about personal strength but about enforcing the victory and honor of God. Preparedness in the secret place gave David:Courage to face opposition,Confidence in God,Boldness to act,Faith to confront fear and Wisdom to seize the opportunity. Beloved, many people desire promotion, influence, impact, and opportunities, yet few prepare for them privately before they appear publicly. The hidden seasons are not wasted seasons. It is in the secret place that God trains, refines, teaches, and builds capacity within His people. The unseen preparation becomes the foundation for future victories. Therefore, even when people do not notice you, continue preparing:Continue praying, studying,developing your gifts,walking faithfully with God,growing in wisdom and characterFor when the opportunity comes, preparation will distinguish you. David’s promotion came through the battle many others feared. Likewise, some opportunities in life require believers to confront challenges spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and practically before stepping into the throne or assignment God has prepared. Remember, battles often precede promotion, and preparation positions believers to seize divine opportunities. *Prayer:* Heavenly Father, prepare me in the secret place for every opportunity and assignment You have ordained for my life. Build within me courage, wisdom, boldness, faith, and godly character. Help me not to despise seasons of hidden preparation. Teach me to trust You and remain faithful even when unnoticed. May I be ready when my moment of opportunity comes.
