THE PILGRIMS GUIDE   TUESDAY MAY 26, 2026   FOLLOW THE WILL OF THE FATHER   A WORD FROM THE WORD:   "For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will." John 6:38 NLT   Our anchor Scripture is a reflection of the LORD Jesus' dedication to fulfil God's will, which in itself is pivotal to His example for us. In following the will of the Father for us, we must endeavour to align our life's pursuits, actions and inactions to becoming more like Christ. And so, for every regenerated child of God, becoming like the LORD Jesus should be one of the primary desires and pursuits. If you want  to become a bastion of the holy faith, you must necessarily endeavour to be like the LORD Jesus. His heart was filled with compassion for humanity, and He volitionally gave His life for the salvation of the world. As a true child of God, you should strive to imbibe that kind of love for God, and for humanity also. The LORD Jesus gave His life as sacrifice for you and the world, you need to lay down your life for others (in the same vein, if need be).   Take an inward inventory of your life and tell yourself the truth as to whether you're doing the will of Him that sent you or if you are doing your own will (which at its best is the will of the world). Seek to find out and do only those things that the LORD Jesus would do.   If it has to be, it's up to you as you endeavour to be like the LORD Jesus, and yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit.   PRAYER BULLETS:   ABBA Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son, my LORD Jesus.
