BUILDING A GODLY LEGACY IN YOUR CHILD

WEDNESDAY MAY 27, 2026

A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"Parents are the pride of their children." Proverbs 17:6 NIV

Your child is already in the process of becoming the kind of person he or she is eventually going to be, and this becomes a reality as he or she matures. So you must determine and endeavour to bring them up right by building a lasting and Godly legacy in them.

1). Build A Godly Legacy:

What you plant spiritually, (and even physically, materially and socially) today is what becomes a generational blessing tomorrow. Therefore, you must be intentional by building a Godly legacy. (Proverbs 20:7).

2). Walk In Honour:

Children are usually proud of parents who lead life of honour before God and men. (Proverbs 22:1).

3). Make Integrity A Daily Practice:

Children observe how you handle private matters like stress, treat others, and respond to personal failures. (Proverbs 10:9)

4). Lead A Faithful Life:

Children are influenced by the kind of life their parents live, and are elated when they see your relationship with God. Your genuine worship, active love, persistent prayers, and unwavering trust and commitment to God during trials. (1 Corinthians 11:1).

5). Help Them Discover Their Potentials:

This includes, and not limited to listening, observing, and once their talents are identified, helping to develop them. (Romans 12:6).

6). Encourage Them To Pursue Their Unique Life's Vision:

Everyone created of God is fearfully and wonderfully crafted, and as such is endowed with a unique vision. Do not put out the fire of their enthusiasm, fan it, by way of encouragements and support; become their greatest supporter. If you do, you will help them pursue and become who God wants them to be. (Joel 2:28; Ephesians 6:4).

PRAYER BULLETS:

Father LORD, help me to lead an integrity-laden life, and build a Godly legacy in the lives of Your children Your blessed me with. Let them see You clearly through me.
