Today is Eid-al-Adha, a festival observed by Muslims. It commemorates Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son Isaac in obedience to God, and Him providing a ram instead. The multi-day holiday involves special prayers, feasting, and the charitable distribution of meat to the needy. While all those things sound good, they won’t wash away their sins. One must believe in the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ to receive eternal life. “Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.” (Hebrews 9:12)
