* DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 149*
*DATE: 29TH MAY 2026*
*TOPIC: THE SEED MUST BE SOWN*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:Luke 8:11 (KJV)*
*“The seed is the word of God.”*
*Devotional Message:*

In the natural world, no farmer expects a harvest without first sowing seed into prepared ground. No matter how fertile the soil may be or how much rain falls from heaven, without seed there can be no harvest.

The same principle applies in the Kingdom of God.

Many believers pray earnestly for revival, salvation of souls, transformation of communities, and church growth, yet sometimes neglect the responsibility of sowing the seed of the Gospel. Prayer prepares the ground, but the Word of God must still be planted into the hearts of men.

Jesus made it clear in Luke 8:11 that “the seed is the word of God.” Therefore, if souls are to be transformed, the Gospel must be preached.

Prayer softens hearts. The Gospel plants the seed. The Holy Spirit brings conviction and growth.Discipleship brings maturity. This is the divine pattern of Kingdom increase.

Apostle Paul explained this mystery clearly when he said:I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” — 1 Corinthians 3:6

This reveals that every believer has a role in God’s harvest field. Some prepare the ground through intercession. Some sow the seed through evangelism. Some water through encouragement and teaching.Others disciple and establish believers in the faith.

But ultimately, it is God who gives increase through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The danger today is that many believers desire harvest without evangelism, revival without preaching Christ, and transformed societies without discipleship. Yet God’s method has never changed — the Gospel remains the power of God unto salvation.

When the Word of God enters the heart of a man, light shines into darkness. Minds become renewed. Hearts are transformed. Bondages are broken. Character begins to reflect Christ.

This is why every believer must not only pray for souls but also intentionally reach out with the Gospel.

The harvest is great, but labourers are few. Therefore, we must become both praying believers and sowing believers.

*Prayer:*

Heavenly Father, thank You for entrusting me with the Gospel of Christ. Help me not only to pray for souls but also to boldly share Your Word with others. Fill me with compassion for the lost and empower me through the Holy Spirit to become an effective witness for Your Kingdom. Let my life bear fruit that glorifies You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
