Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotion for today.
MD.i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. FRIDAY MAY 29, 2026.
"THE FINGER OF GOD (3)"
'...And He gave unto Moses...tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.' Exodus 31:18 NLT
THE FINGER of God in stone. Why do you think God wrote the Ten Com
mandments in stone? Because His principles are permanent and unchanging. You say, ‘But what about all those people who have never heard God’s Word? How will He judge them?’ Paul answers: ‘Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law…show that they know His law when they instinctively obey it…They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right’ (Romans 2:14-15 NLT). Your conscience acts like a compass. If you let it, it’ll guide you right. But when you reject its warnings, its voice gets quieter and quieter until you can no longer hear it. That’s a dangerous condition to be in. Paul writes, ‘Having faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected, concerning the faith, have suffered shipwreck’ (1 Timothy 1:19 NKJV). Picture yourself standing on a bridge, dropping pebbles into a pond and watching the ripples go out to the edge. It’s just a little pebble, but look at the effect it has! Yet in winter, when that same pond freezes over, you can drive a truck across it. Your conscience is like that. When you keep disobeying God, your heart becomes calloused and hardened and you no longer hear Him speaking to you. Paul writes, ‘…I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man’ (Acts 24:16 NIV). That’s a good rule of thumb for you to live by!

MD.ii. REDEEMED AND JUSTIFIED
"It was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect." - 1 Peter 1:18-19
A little boy made a beautiful sailboat to which he became very attached. He loved his boat very much. One day while he was playing with it in the water, a big storm came and his boat drifted away. Deeply sad, he cried for weeks for his lost sailboat.
Some weeks later, he saw the boat in a shop window. He happily stepped into the shop and asked for his sailboat. 'No' said the shopkeeper, 'that is not possible. The boat is now mine. You can buy it if you want.' When the boy heard how much it cost, he ran home, sold everything he had, and bought his sailboat back. He pressed it to his heart and said: 'My dear little boat, now you are mine twice. I made you and I bought you.'
We also belong twice to God: He created us, and He bought us! 'But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us' (Romans 5:8).
The price is fully paid
Because of the blood of Jesus Christ, God sees us covered in white clothes of righteousness and declares us guilt-free despite all the darkness, sin and guilt from our past. God has forgiven our wickedness and does not think about our sins anymore. If we stand in court and the judge says that we are innocent, then we are legally justified! However, if we are found guilty, we are not justified and have to pay for our crime. According to the law we can only be justified when the price is fully paid. With the precious, innocent blood of Jesus Christ, God has fully paid this high price.

2. Morning Prayer for today.
MP.i. Morning Prayer
The LORD [is] my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, [and] my high tower. ⏤ Psalm 18:2
We must begin to believe that God, in the mystery of prayer, has entrusted us with a force that can move the heavenly world and bring its power down to earth. ⏤ Andrew Murray
O God, You are our Rock, our Fortress, our Deliverer, the horn of our salvation, and our Redeemer. You are a proven Savior, and we know we can trust You. We have placed our confidence in You in the past, and You have never once failed us.
We give You heartfelt thanks this morning for all the blessings of the night. We thank You most of all for revealing Yourself to us in Jesus Christ our Savior, in whom we see the exact image of Your being. We thank You that in Him we have learned of Your fatherhood, grace, and mercy. May the Holy Spirit teach us more and more of the blessedness and preciousness of this divine revelation, opening our eyes to see it and our hearts to receive it.
We ask You, O God, to draw us near to You this morning and to hold us close to You all day long. We want to run the race set before us without faltering. Help us to lay aside every weight that would hinder us, and every sin that so easily entangles us, and fix our eyes on Jesus as our goal. We want to live as Christians should live. Let us not be drawn away by the world’s allure.
Help us to conduct our daily business righteously. Teach us to do even the most mundane tasks for Jesus’ sake, with Jesus in mind. Help us to be honest and truthful in all aspects of our lives:
In our business,
In our social interactions,
In our conversations,
In every part of our lives.
May the fruits of the Spirit abound in our lives. May we also abound in good works. Send us all the help we need for the day’s demands. Bless our loved ones, whatever their circumstances, and everyone for whom we should pray. We ask all this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
