Prayer Ministry-9

Syllabus-19

"Pray for all the saints and for me, that utterance may be given me, as I open my mouth."
Eph 6:19

The special need for prayer for all workers is evident from Paul's words. Prayer is needed for workers, just as it is for all saints. Paul wrote the same thing to the Colossians. "With this in mind, pray for us also, that God may open a door for the word to speak, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains."

Deacons are appointed by God to oversee the believers. Through them, believers receive many benefits in their spiritual life. Therefore, just as believers should have love and respect for them, so too should they pray specifically for the Lord to provide appropriate words through them. Through this mutual prayer, a love and fellowship is built. Believers who regularly pray for deacons find it easier to accept the words of deacons. Sometimes, in order to correct the lives of believers, it is necessary to give strong words. Paul wrote to the Corinthians, โ€œI came to you with fear and much trembling.โ€ 1 Cor. 2:3. It is often seen that many believers cannot bear the harsh words they are given. They either grumble and commit great sins, or leave the fellowship. If they had prayed regularly for deacons, this would not have happened. The Lord Jesus also rebuked Peter once. Matthew 16:23. But Peter did not complain about that, but rather tried to correct his life through that rebuke.

"Respect those who labor among you... and admonish you... in love because of their work."
1 Thess 5:12-13.
