GLORYING IN WHO HE IS
A WORD FROM THE WORD:
"So that, as it is said in the holy Writings, Whoever has a desire for glory, let his glory be in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 1:31 BBE.
Glorying in who He is begins with transferring the limelight. As a child of God, glorying in worldly knowledge, human ability and earthly riches, power and accomplishments is equal to anathema/eternal damnation.
Your boasts and glorying, as a believer, instead should be in God's character, your personal relationship with Him, and in His grace which without doubt brings about, and enables you to live righteously. All earthly values pales into insignificance 'when compared to the with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.' (Philippians 3:8 NLT).
Your confidence must rest in who He is; faithful, unchanging, Supreme and Sovereign. Paul, the apostle, was inspired by the Holy Spirit to capture the essence of the prophecy of Jeremiah, the prophet: not glorying in your own wisdom or strength, but in the knowledge and understanding of the character of the only true God, and taking joy in your relationship with Him. Your true worth and essence in God are realised by giving full credit for every gift and victory to Him, and committing yourself to the LORD Jesus and His righteous standards and allowing Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit.
PRAYER BULLETS:
Oh God my Father, thank You for Your grace to glory about my relationship with You.
Help me amount to something good in Your hand.

Philippians 3:3; Galatians 6:14; Psalm 34:2; 2 Corinthians 10:17-18; 1 Corinthians 1:31.
