Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotion for today.

THE WORD FOR TODAY. FRIDAY MAY 29, 2026.
"THE FINGER OF GOD (3)"
'...And He gave unto Moses...tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.' Exodus 31:18 NLT
THE FINGER of God in stone. Why do you think God wrote the Ten Com
mandments in stone? Because His principles are permanent and unchanging. You say, āBut what about all those people who have never heard Godās Word? How will He judge them?ā Paul answers: āEven Gentiles, who do not have Godās written lawā¦show that they know His law when they instinctively obey itā¦They demonstrate that Godās law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing rightā (Romans 2:14-15 NLT). Your conscience acts like a compass. If you let it, itāll guide you right. But when you reject its warnings, its voice gets quieter and quieter until you can no longer hear it. Thatās a dangerous condition to be in. Paul writes, āHaving faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected, concerning the faith, have suffered shipwreckā (1 Timothy 1:19 NKJV). Picture yourself standing on a bridge, dropping pebbles into a pond and watching the ripples go out to the edge. Itās just a little pebble, but look at the effect it has! Yet in winter, when that same pond freezes over, you can drive aĀ truck across it. Your conscience is like that. When you keep disobeying God, your heart becomes calloused and hardened and you no longer hear Him speaking to you. Paul writes, āā¦I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and manā (Acts 24:16 NIV). Thatās a good rule of thumb for you to live by!

THE WORD FOR TODAY. SATURDAY MAY 30, 2026.
"THE FINGER OF GOD (4)"
'...Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger...' John 8:6 NKJV
THE FINGER of God in cleansing. One day the Pharisees brought a woman to Christ. Sheād been ācaught in the actā of adultery and they expected Him to condemn her. But instead, āJesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.ā This is Jesus at His best! He stooped down to identify with the victim in her shame, refusing to listen to the words of her accusers. Then He scattered them with a single statement: āā¦He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her firstā (v. 7 NKJV). Ouch! Then the One Who came not to tear us down but to build us up, said to her, āā¦Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no moreā (v. 11 NKJV). The question is, where would she find strength to live such a life? Through Christ! His commandments are His enablings. He said, āā¦I am the light of the world, He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of lifeā (v. 12 NKJV). Jesus sees every weed as a potential rose, every doubter as a potential believer and every sinner as a potential saint. Stop listening to the voices that condemn you. Stop beating yourself up over your failures. Come to Jesus today; He will cleanse you, make you whole and give you the life youāve always longed for. You donāt have to live under satanās control anymore. Jesus said, āā¦If I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is comeā (Luke 11:20 KJV).

THE WORD FOR TODAY. SUNDAY MAY 31, 2026.
"BE RESILIENT"
'We give great honour to those who endureā¦āĀ James 5:11 NLT
DURING THEIR famous expedition, American explorers, Lewis and Clark, faced incredible hardships. On reaching the Missouri River, they thought the worst was overāthen they saw the Rockies! Instead of the easy ride downstream that theyād expected, they faced their biggest challenge: retreat or start climbing! Looking back, they realised it was in conquering the Rockies that they gained the confidence they needed for what theyād face later. Scott Peck, author of āThe Road Less Travelledā, writes, āItās in meeting and solving problems that we grow mentally and spiritually. Wise people learn not to dread, but to welcome the pain of problems.ā Sociologists who study resiliencyāthe ability to bounce backātell us that people handle trauma in two ways. They either give up because theyāre afraid, or they grow up by developing the capacity to handle it. What makes the difference? Instead of acting like victims, resilient people: 1) take charge of their lives; 2) refuse to relinquish their values; 3) refocus on their goal. Noela Evans says, āChallenge is a dragon with a gift in its mouth. Tame the dragon and the gift is yours.ā Quitting is always simpler than enduring. But it produces a pattern thatās hard to break; one you live to regret. So if youāre thinking, āThis relationship is too hard, I want out,ā or, āThis job isnāt what I expected, Iām quitting,ā remember, you develop resiliency by remaining faithful in situations you donāt like and canāt change. Thatās why the Bible says, āWe give great honour to those who endure.ā

MD.ii. EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE
"Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are His dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered Himself as a sacrifice for us." - Ephesians 5:1-2
Teach me, Lord Jesus, to love and to have compassion as You have. You saw people with spiritual need and called them to You. You saw people in physical need and healed them. You saw little children and embraced them. Help me to be like that, Lord. I do not want to look at my impossibilities but believe that everything is possible with You.

USE ME
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." - 1 Timothy 4:12
Lord, I can love others when I love You. Knowing that I am Your child, I can bring others to You. While I trust You, I will be an example so others will be ignited by the fire of Your Holy Spirit. Use me Lord and help me to help others.

2. Morning Prayer for today.
MP.i. Morning Prayer
A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. ⤠Psalm 122:1
True prayer is not asking God for what we want, but what He wants. ⤠Wesley L. Duewel
Father, as we pause to rest this day with You, the great feverish world keeps throbbing on. May something of Your blessed Sunday peace flow out into this restless world and quiet it. Let this day be a true blessing to all Your people, and may the influence of this day reach far and wide, making its power felt throughout the world.
We ask that Your grace be given so that all who worship You today may receive a blessing. Let Your blessing be upon all assemblies that gather for worship and upon all Sunday schools. May there be divine power in the preaching of Your word. May lost sinners be convicted and led to repentance. May Christians be strengthened and encouraged. May those who are sorrowful be comforted. May this day bring new strength and heavenly impulses to children and young people. May our home be blessed and enriched by this day of rest and worship. May Your life from Heaven come down and make our land holier, purer, and sweeter.
O God, Your cause on earth sometimes seems to falter. Your church does not always appear to be earnest. The world is earnest; every energy of evil is active. Wicked people are busy in their wickedness, while the followers of Jesus seem to be asleep! Your kingdom does not seem to be advancing among the nations. We pray again, "May Your kingdom come." Pour out Your Spirit upon all who bear the name of Jesus. Ignite revival fires in all parts of the church. We pray for ourselves, that we may be quickened in our spiritual life.
Let a blessing be upon Your whole church, and may Your cause receive a divine impulse that will be felt around the world. Revive Your work among Your people. Hear our prayers and give us Your blessing through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
