* DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 151*
*DATE: 31ST MAY 2026*
*TOPIC: STRENGTH THROUGH THE WORD*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: PSALM 19:7 (ERV)*
*"The Lord's teachings are perfect; they give strength to His people."*
*Devotional Message*

The psalmist reveals an important truth in our anchor scripture: the Word of God is not only meant to instruct us but also to strengthen us. God's teachings are perfect, and they impart strength to those who receive and meditate upon them.

*How then does the Word give strength?*

First, the Word provides comfort and hope. There are moments when our faith grows weak, our hearts become discouraged, and our souls are troubled by the challenges of life. During such seasons, the Word of God revives the inner man. It reminds us of God's faithfulness, His promises, and His unfailing love. As we meditate on His Word, hope is restored, and we find strength to continue trusting Him.

Secondly, the Word produces joy in the heart of the believer. Jeremiah testified:

" *Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart" (Jeremiah 15:16).*

This joy is not dependent on circumstances. It is the joy that comes from God Himself. Nehemiah reminds us that "the joy of the Lord is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10). As we feed on God's Word, the Holy Spirit fills our hearts with divine joy, and that joy strengthens us for the journey.

Thirdly, the Word brings clarity and direction. Confusion, uncertainty, and anxiety often drain our spiritual strength. However, when we open the Scriptures, God's light shines upon our path. His Word becomes a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Through the Word, we gain wisdom, understanding, and guidance, enabling us to walk confidently in God's will.

The Word of God also strengthens us by renewing our minds. As we meditate upon it daily, wrong thinking is replaced with God's truth, fear is replaced with faith, and weakness gives way to spiritual strength.

Therefore, the Word of God is much more than a book of instruction—it is a source of life, strength, joy, comfort, and direction. The believer who continually feeds on God's Word will remain spiritually strong regardless of the circumstances around them.

If you feel weak, discouraged, confused, or weary, return to the Word of God. Strength is found in His teachings, and His promises are able to sustain you through every season of life.

*Prayer*

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your perfect Word that strengthens and sustains me. As I study and meditate upon Your Word, fill my heart with hope, joy, wisdom, and strength. Let Your Word revive my spirit and guide me in all my ways. Help me to depend on Your truth daily and to remain steadfast in every season. In Jesus' name, Amen.
