"WHAT HAS GOD SAID ABOUT YOU (4)"
'...He did not waver through unbelief regarding the promiseâŠâ  Romans 4:20 NIV
IF YOUR vision is to be a great parent, that doesnât mean you donât have great faith. It just means you understand your calling. All Mosesâ mother did was give birthâbut what a baby! God protected her son when she couldnât do a thing to help him. Then He arranged to have him raised in Pharaohâs royal courts. And when you discover Godâs purpose for your life, He will provide for you, too! Some days, your vision wonât look like itâs coming together. As a child, Joseph dreamed of being a great leader, but before he could get to the palace, he had to go through the prison. Pastor James Petro says, âYou canât build a foundation in a storm, so God will prepare you in advance.â Sometimes your vision will seem to die before it springs to life. That happened to Abraham. âAgainst all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nationsâŠhe faced the fact that his body was as good as deadâsince he was about a hundred years oldâand that Sarahâs womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promisedâ (vv. 18-21 NIV). Paul wrote, âWe are fools for ChristâŠâ (1 Corinthians 4:10 NIV). God uses radical people who donât care how they look: people whoâve survived difficult pasts, defied the odds, held onto their vision, and declared, âMy God is able!â And you can be one of those people!

"We have never seen anything like this!" - Marc 2:12
Mark 2 tells the story of a paralyzed man who was brought to Jesus by his four friends. However, it was impossible to come closely to Jesus and that is why his friends lowered him through the roof just in front of Jesus' feet. The audience was surprised when they saw the great miracle that the paralyzed man was walking again, they said: 'We have never seen anything like this'!
We have never seen this before
As we read the Bible, we see miracles happening all the time. The gospel of Jesus Christ itself is one great miracle. I do not know if you remember the first time when you heard the gospel. Like these people, you then undoubtedly said: 'I have never heard this before.' When man sinned for the first time, God could have immediately destroyed His creatures who were disobedient to Him. Instead, God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth, who sacrificed Himself as a ransom for man. The great, almighty, living God Himself brought reconciliation for you and me. When God announced His salvation plan, the angels must have been surprised and said: 'We have never seen this before, that God Himself will hang on the cross and take upon Himself the penalty of the sinner.'
You are perhaps not familiar with the gospel. Then I want to tell you today: 'do not be an unbeliever in advance only because things sound strange and weird to you.' This is also the case with new fashion. Many people find new fashion strange at first, but not long afterwards they wear it. People have a prejudice in advance, because they have not seen something similar before.
Why do I say this? Because prejudice is an obstacle to receive from God. If you think: 'the gospel is not for me, remember that the gospel will surprise you.' Open your heart today, because God wants to make you happy too and He wants to forgive all your sins.

2. Morning Prayer for today.
MP.i. Morning Prayer
[Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. †Hebrews 13:5
The first and best prayer that we can make is to implore the Spirit of God. †John Wesley
O God, who is everywhere present, who is surely here with us now as we bow before Youâmay You make Your presence real to us, so that we are conscious of it. We cannot see You, and itâs hard for us to know that You are truly with us. Give us faith in Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us, that You will be with us always, even unto the end of the world.
May Your presence make us strong and keep us always at peace. May it inspire us to always do our best, knowing that the Masterâs eye is ever upon us. May it keep us from being discouraged and cast down, since You are always a very present help in times of trouble. May it make us watchful over all our life and conversation so that we do nothing and say nothing that would grieve You.
We desire, our Father, to be diligent today in all duty, and we ask You for help and guidance. Show us what You would have us doâand then give us the wisdom and grace to do all our duties. Help us to do them beautifully, so as to please You. Let us not live well merely out of obligation, but may we love to do what is right and do it with cheerfulness and glad-heartedness. May we glorify Your name in the midst of Your enemies, honoring You in our every word and act.
We commit to Your keeping all of our home as we go our separate ways. Let no harm come to any of us. May we be kept from sickness and trials, if itâs Your will; but if any trouble comes to us, then may we be kept from sinning. Give us Your help. Uphold us by Your right hand. We ask all this, with the forgiveness of our sins, in Jesusâ precious name. Amen.
