THROWBACK THURSDAY - Ten years ago, I spent time ministering in Massachusetts, which including sharing the gospel on the streets of Boston. It was in this city in 1775 when a lantern in the Old North Church prompted Paul Revere to conduct his famous midnight ride. For years, I believed he had said, “The British are coming!” That became a legend through a poem written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Paul was still a British citizen. He would have more accurately said, “The Regulars (a nickname for the redcoats) are coming out.” Regardless, more Christians nowadays need to declare “Jesus is coming!”
