KNOWN BEFORE THE WOMB, LOVED BEYOND MEASURE
A WORD FROM THE WORD:
"Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me. Your sons shall make haste; Your destroyers and those who laid you waste Shall go away from you." Isaiah 49:15-17 NKJV.
People, even Christians often ask whether God really care about them as individuals and creation in general. This question is more often than not out of curiosity, anxiety, and pressures of life; it's a question borne out of confusion and situations of hopelessness. At such times, strength, human intelligence, money, beauty, academic qualifications, etc, would not have been enough to bring the answer. It might be about the health, finance, marriage, job, family, children, academics, social status, to name a few, that is the cause of the such question; it could be asked openly or in the heart.
But from our anchor text, it's obvious that God is unwaveringly committed to His children, and that includes you.
In the Bible, Peter, the apostle, who earlier at the aftermath of the LORD Jesus' resurrection was faced with a similar situation. He chose to go a fishing, but didn't make any catch throughout the night's fishing expedition, while in hopelessness and washing his nets, the LORD Jesus showed up and turned the situation around. A lake in which no fish was caught, miraculously availed multitude of fishes, to the amazement of Peter and his teammates (Luke 5:1-7).
God said to Jeremiah, the prophet, 'Before I formed thee, I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee and ordained thee a prophet unto the nations' (Jeremiah 1:4-5 KJV). This is to say that God not only knew the prophet Jeremiah, you, and all His children by extension. He formed you and brought you into the world, and because He did, then He can never forget you. You are 'the sheep of His hand.' (Psalm 95:7 KJV) for crying out loud. He is much more committed to you than you can ever think or imagine.
The changing world can never change His Word for your care, help and deliverance. He is working out your deliverance, so you should trust Him, '.. All things are possible to him who believes.' (Mark 9:23 NKJV). I would like to encourage you at this moment to know and understand that God's love for you began even before your conception, and it is beyond measure.
PRAYER BULLETS:
LORD Jesus, I thank You for Your lovingkindness. Help me to trust in the truthful fact that You do really care for me. I believe, O LORD, help my unbelief.
FURTHER READING:
Psalm 95:7; Jeremiah 1:4-5; Luke 5:1-7; Mark 9:23.
