Our Impact on Others

3 John 1:2-8

I pray that all may go well,
That you may be in good health;
For going well where you dwell,
Soul gains in spiritual health.

I rejoice much when you came,
In testifying the truth;
For in the truth you proclaim,
What you retained since your youth.

There’s no greater joy than to hear,
In the truth my children walk;
Brothers and sisters revere,
Testimony that they talk.

It’s a faithful thing you do,
In efforts for these brothers;
Testimony you pursue,
Of the Gospel to others.

Bear witness of charity,
Of your love before the church;
Drawing to the sanctity,
To those who constantly search.

Send them upon their travel,
In style worthy of God;
Let their mind to unravel,
Confessing in being flawed.

For the name’s sake they go out,
From Gentiles take nothing;
But in that leaving no doubt,
Of what the Gospel will bring.

We ought to support like these,
Fellow workers for the truth;
It is the Lord that you please,
That they do not be uncouth.
