One thing I’ve had to learn the hard way is that not everyone is going to support the version of you that’s growing. Sometimes the people you expect encouragement from will give you doubt instead. Sometimes you’ll share a goal, a dream, or a fresh start, and you’ll be met with criticism, negativity, or silence. And if you’re not careful, that can make you question yourself. But the Bible reminds us of Joseph’s story. When he shared the dream God gave him, not everyone celebrated it. In fact, some of the people closest to him became the very ones who hurt him. What gives me hope is this: their lack of support didn’t stop God’s plan. Joseph still made it to where God was taking him. Maybe that’s a reminder for you today. Not everyone has to understand your healing. Not everyone has to agree with your growth. Not everyone has to see what God is doing in your life right now. Keep going anyway. The people who are meant to walk with you will cheer you on. The people who don’t understand your journey don’t get to determine your destination. Trust God with the process. Stay humble. Stay focused. Keep doing the work. And remember, just because not everyone supports your next chapter doesn’t mean God isn’t writing something beautiful. Sometimes the greatest blessings start growing long before anyone else can see them...
