📘 Daily Devotion — June 10 | Acts 1:3 (NKJV) 💯 The Certainty of the Risen Christ Acts 1:3 takes place after the resurrection of Jesus and before His ascension into heaven. Luke records that Jesus did not simply rise from the dead and immediately depart. Instead, He spent forty days appearing to His disciples, teaching them, and giving them undeniable evidence that He was truly alive. The disciples had witnessed the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus. Their hopes had been shaken, and many struggled to understand all that had happened. Yet Jesus graciously met them in their uncertainty. He appeared to them repeatedly, spoke with them, allowed them to see Him, and continued teaching them about the kingdom of God. These were not vague experiences or wishful thoughts. Luke describes them as "many infallible proofs," demonstrating that Christ's resurrection was a historical and certain reality. This verse reminds believers that Christianity is founded on the truth of a living Savior. Our faith is not built upon myths, traditions, or human ideas. It is grounded in the risen Lord Jesus Christ who conquered sin and death. Because He lives, we have confidence in His promises, hope in difficult seasons, and assurance of eternal life. Today, many people struggle with doubt, fear, and uncertainty. Acts 1:3 encourages us to remember that Jesus has already provided sufficient evidence of His victory.
