FOLLOWING THE FAITH OF OUR FOREFATHERS Genesis 14:20 “And blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand! And Abram gave him a tenth of everything.” INTRODUCTION We do not give tithes because we simply wish to do so, nor because we fear our pastor or church leaders. Tithing is not a human idea—it is a divine principle that began with our fathers of faith. These fathers of faith practiced tithing, and their lives never remained the same. Their testimonies show us that honoring God with our substance brings transformation and blessing. ABRAHAM: GRATITUDE AND VICTORY The story of Abraham is remarkable. After God helped him defeat his enemies and gave him victory, Abraham gave a tenth of everything to God. Abraham understood that his victory did not come by his own strength but by the Lord. His tithe was an act of gratitude and honor to God.
