There are seasons in life when it feels like nothing is changing.

You pray, you work hard, you trust God—but the situation remains the same.

But I want to remind you of something powerful today:

God does not only save us spiritually—He also restores our lives practically.

When God called people in the Bible, He did not only give them salvation. He gave them direction, purpose, and new opportunities.

He called fishermen and made them leaders.
He called the broken and made them builders.
He called the poor and made them stewards of blessing.

God Is Not Against Your Progress

Struggling is not a sign that God has abandoned you.

But staying in struggle without direction is not God’s plan either.

That is why I believe in empowerment—not just prayer without action, but prayer that leads to transformation.

Faith Must Become Work

James 2:17 says, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

This means:

1. We pray, but we also plan
2. We believe, but we also build
3. We trust God, but we also learn skills

Because poverty is not just a lack of money—it is often a lack of skills, systems, and support.

A New Season Is Possible

I want you to believe this today:

You are not stuck forever.
Your children are not condemned to struggle.
Your hands can build something new.

God is still in the business of lifting people.

THE DREAM KILLER

Genesis 37:18-26

“Now when they saw him afar off, even before he came near them, they conspired against him to kill him.” — Genesis 37:18

Every God-given dream will face opposition. In life, there are people who will celebrate what God is doing through you, but there are also people who will misunderstand, reject, criticize, or even try to destroy the dream God has placed inside you.

The story of Joseph teaches us that a dream from God does not always receive acceptance from people. Sometimes the greatest opposition does not come from strangers but from those who are close to us.

1. Not Everyone Will Understand the Dream God Gives You

Joseph received a dream from God and shared it with his brothers. Instead of celebrating with him, their hearts were filled with jealousy and anger.

“And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brethren: and they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.” — Genesis 37:8

Joseph’s dream was not about destroying his brothers; it was actually connected to God’s plan to preserve their lives in the future. But they could not see the purpose behind the dream.

Sometimes people reject what they do not understand. They may judge your vision based on their current understanding, not based on what God has revealed.

A dream from God may look impossible in the eyes of people, but God sees the future before it happens.

Isaiah 55:8-9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”

2. Dream Killers Focus on the Person, Not the Purpose

Joseph’s brothers looked at him as a younger brother, but God saw him as a future leader and deliverer.

They said:

“Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.” — Genesis 37:20

They thought killing Joseph would kill the dream. They did not understand that the dream was bigger than Joseph; it was connected to God’s purpose.

Many times people will fight what God has placed in your life because they only see your present condition, not your future assignment.

Your dream may bring transformation to families, communities, nations, and generations, but dream killers may not recognize its value.https://

1. Dreams Are Part of God’s Divine Purpose
Joseph was born like any other child, but God had placed a unique purpose upon his life. His dream was not an accident; it was a revelation of God’s plan for his future. Every God-given dream carries a divine assignment that goes beyond our present circumstances. Dreams reveal what God intends to accomplish through us.

2. A Godly Character Sustains a Great Dream
Joseph feared God and honored Him from his youth. The power of a dream is not only in receiving it but also in having the character to carry it. God entrusts significant dreams to those who are willing to walk in obedience, integrity, and faithfulness. A dream without godly character can easily be destroyed.

3. Dreams Must Be Valued
Many people receive dreams and visions from God but fail to give them the attention they deserve.

THE DREAM GOD GAVE YOU IS BIGGER THAN THE OPPOSITION

• Dream again. Trust God and keep walking in faith.
• Opposition does not cancel God’s purpose for your life.
• People may fight, reject, or misunderstand you, but they cannot stop God’s plan.
• A God-given dream carries power to accomplish what others called impossible.
• As long as you are alive, your story is not finished.
• Stand again, believe again, and keep moving forward in faith.

WHEN YOUR VISION IS BIGGER THAN THEIR UNDERSTANDING

Genesis 37:19-20 — “Here comes that dreamer… Come now, let us kill him and throw him into one of the pits… Then we will see what becomes of his dreams.”

Stop thinking that you are the problem. You are not the problem. The challenge is that your dream may be bigger than their understanding, bigger than their vision, and bigger than where they think you can go.

Joseph did not commit a crime. He did not harm anyone. His only “offense” was that he dreamed beyond their limitations.

A dream from God will challenge people who have accepted limitation. A dream from God will disturb those who cannot see what God has shown you.

If your dream has never created opposition, maybe you are not dreaming at the level God wants you to dream. We are not talking about dreams of only food, clothes, and personal comfort. We are talking about dreams that shake nations, bring change, defeat giants, and leave a legacy.

Joseph’s brothers said, “Let us destroy him and see what will become of his dreams.” They did not understand that God was already working behind the scenes. Joseph himself did not know how God would fulfill the dream, but God knew.

Your responsibility is to dream, keep dreaming, trust God, and continue walking in faith.

1. People may fight you.

2. People may despise you.

3. People may intimidate you

4. People may reject you.

1. A God-given dream can attract opposition
Joseph’s brothers did not attack him because of who he was, but because of what God had placed inside him. Sometimes the vision on your life can create jealousy and resistance.
2. Opposition can come from unexpected people
Joseph faced betrayal from his own family. Not every enemy will be a stranger; sometimes challenges come from people close to you.
3. People can try to stop the dream, but they cannot stop God’s plan
The brothers wanted to destroy Joseph’s future, but God used even their actions to move Joseph closer to his purpose.
4. God is the protector of every divine assignment
When God gives a vision, He provides grace, strength, and a way forward. The dream may face challenges, but God’s purpose will stand.

DREAMS ATTRACT OPPOSITION

His brothers did not fight Joseph because of who he was at that moment; they fought what they saw coming through his dream. They were not afraid of Joseph the shepherd boy — they were afraid of Joseph’s future, his influence, and what God had planned through his life.

Your dream, if it is from God, will always attract opposition because the enemy is not only concerned about who you are today; he is afraid of what God will accomplish through you tomorrow.

Everyone can dream, but dreams that come from God carry power. They carry the ability to overcome darkness, transform lives, and bring hope to others.

4. Dreams Require Faith in God

A dream often appears bigger than our abilities and resources. Joseph could not see how his dream would come to pass, yet God was already preparing the way. Faith is trusting God’s promise even when circumstances seem impossible. Great dreams require great faith in a great God.

5. Dreams Often Create Opposition

When Joseph shared his dream, his brothers became jealous and his family was troubled. God-given dreams frequently attract resistance because they challenge the ordinary and point toward an extraordinary future. Opposition is often a sign that the dream carries significance and purpose.

6. Dreams Reveal Future Manifestations

Joseph’s dream was not merely about sheaves and stars bowing down; it was a picture of future realities. God uses dreams to show what is yet to come. Though the fulfillment may take years, God’s revelations are prophetic glimpses of His intended outcome. What God shows today may become tomorrow’s testimony.

A CALL TO FAITHFULNESS

Genesis 14:20

“And blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand! And Abram gave him a tenth of everything.”

Genesis 28:22

“And of all that you give me I will give a full tenth to you.”

Malachi 3:8

“Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In tithes and offerings.”

Malachi 3:10

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.”

God has blessed many of us with jobs, businesses, farms, shops, transport businesses, and other sources of income. Yet some people still do not bring tithes to Him.

When Jacob was blessed and returned, he fulfilled his vow and gave to God. In the same way, we must not forget God after receiving His blessing.

Tithing is not a request, suggestion, or negotiation. It is a commandment.

If you do not pay tithes, you are robbing God. And the Bible calls such a person a thief.

Every person who does not give tithes is a thief before God. But worse still, you are not an ordinary thief—you are a thief against your Creator, your Provider, and your Blesser.

God calls us back today to the faith of our forefathers—Abraham and Jacob—so that we may walk in obedience and continue to experience His blessings.

FOLLOWING THE FAITH OF OUR FOREFATHERS

Genesis 14:20

INTRODUCTION

We do not give tithes because we simply wish to do so, nor because we fear our pastor or church leaders. Tithing is not a human idea—it is a divine principle that began with our fathers of faith.

These fathers of faith practiced tithing, and their lives never remained the same. Their testimonies show us that honoring God with our substance brings transformation and blessing.


ABRAHAM: GRATITUDE AND VICTORY

The story of Abraham is remarkable. After God helped him defeat his enemies and gave him victory, Abraham gave a tenth of everything to God.

Abraham understood that his victory did not come by his own strength but by the Lord. His tithe was an act of gratitude and honor to God.

Even today, many of us ask God to fight our battles and give us victory, yet we sometimes forget to honor Him with what belongs to Him.

Honoring the Command of God
Deuteronomy 14:22–26

When God delivered the children of Israel, He instructed them concerning both tithes and the consecration of the firstborn. These were not matters of negotiation but acts of worship and obedience.

Throughout Scripture, God places special importance on the firstborn and the tithe because they represent honor, surrender, and recognition of His ownership over all things. When we dedicate these to Him, we acknowledge His rightful place in our lives.

Let us honor God’s commandments if we desire to see His hand at work in our lives. This Scripture calls us not only to hear God’s Word but also to obey and fulfill it faithfully.

Prayer:
Lord, help us to honor You with our substance and with the firstfruits of all You have given us. Give us obedient hearts that trust You completely. May our lives reflect our love and reverence for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Honoring the Command of God

Scripture: Deuteronomy 14:22–26

Tithing is not a new idea; it is God’s command. God instructed the children of Israel to honor this command if they desired to walk in His blessings and favor.

The tithe does not belong to us. It is not our money, our profit, or our capital—it belongs to God. We should not give tithes merely because we expect a multiplied return. We give because God has commanded His people to do so.

These words came from the mouth of God; therefore, we are called to obey them. As God’s children, we live under His covenant and acknowledge Him as Lord over all that we possess.

The Model of Jesus Christ

The Gospel of Mark records the calling of the first disciples:

“Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.” — Mark 1:17 (KJV)

Jesus did not begin His ministry by recruiting religious scholars or influential leaders. Instead, He walked along the Sea of Galilee and called simple fishermen—Peter, Andrew, James, and John. They were ordinary men with no formal theological education, yet they became pillars of the early Church.

The success of the early Christian movement was not built upon human qualifications alone, but upon availability, obedience, humility, and spiritual transformation.

This strategy produced one of the greatest multiplication movements in history.

DISCIPLESHIP MULTIPLICATION
The strategy of Jesus Christ still works today.

When Jesus called fishermen by the Sea of Galilee, many would never have imagined that these ordinary men would impact the entire world. Yet through discipleship, mentorship, and the power of God, they became transformational leaders.

The future of discipleship multiplication may not begin in the offices of powerful institutions, but in the hearts of available ordinary believers willing to answer the call:

WALKING IN PURPOSE

Purpose always begins with surrender. To walk with God is to submit fully to His authority. It is acknowledging that His ways are higher, His wisdom is greater, and His plans are perfect. When we release control and yield to His Lordship, we step into a life where divine direction replaces confusion, and peace of God guides every decision.

Obedience is the bridge between calling and fulfillment. God does not bless intention; He blesses obedience. When He says “Go,” it may not always make sense, but it is always significant. The path God calls you to walk may stretch your faith, challenge your comfort, and require sacrifice, yet it leads to a life that impacts generations.
