TRUE FAITH WITH PEACE OF MIND

A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"But true faith, with peace of mind, is of great profit: For we came into the world with nothing, and we are not able to take anything out; But if we have food and a roof over us, let that be enough." 1 Timothy 6:6- 8 BBE.

There's no doubt about the truthful fact that true Godliness with contentment is great wealth. If you take a cursory look at the world around you, you will discover that it has subtly or obviously put money and materialism on ascendancy. This, unfortunately applies both to the believer in Christ Jesus and the unbeliever.

Could you believe that among Christians who are employed in the Church engage in stealing monies and materials, and yet some engage in inflating costs of items bought for church use and contracts awarded? That's how berserk the church has gone about money and material things. But the good news is that there is a way out - true faith with peace of mind. Paul, the apostle, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, writes in the context of our anchor Scripture, "For we came into the world with nothing, and we are not able to take anything out;" (v 7).
With the full import of this Scripture resonating in our subconscious on regular basis, it would be a great help.

It is unfortunate that some Christians take undue advantage of their fellow Christians and unbelievers alike, to whom they should be shinning examples, just for the mess of the porridge of money and material things. Living with eternity in view should be a practice for every believing child of God.
I don't know how far gone you may have been in (the depth of) the love of money, there's room for recourse to God and His righteous ways and standards. If you do really have the milk of God's Word in you, I'd like to encourage you to remember the inspired words of the LORD Jesus, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions." (Luke 12:15 NKJV).

As much as I know that money and material things are not evil, but the love and blind pursuit of these are, and you don't want to willingly 'pierce yourself with many sorrows.' You will do well to subscribe to Godliness with contentment and receive the attendant great wealth.

PRAYER BULLETS:

LORD Jesus, thank You for the entrance of Your Word in my life. Help me to be contented with what You have blessed me with and deliver me from the love of money.

FURTHER READING:

1 Timothy 6:1-10; Luke 12:15; Philippians 3:12-14; James 4:17.
