* DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 165*
*DATE: 14TH JUNE 2026*
*TOPIC: INVESTING IN MEN FOR CONTINUITY*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:2 SAMUEL 21:17a (NKJV)*
*"But Abishai the son of Zeruiah came to his aid, and struck the Philistine and killed him."*
*Devotional message*

In our anchor Scripture, we find David growing weary during battle. The man who had once slain Goliath and led Israel into countless victories found himself in a moment of weakness. A Philistine giant saw this as an opportunity to destroy him. However, David was not alone. Abishai, one of his mighty men, came to his rescue and struck down the giant.

As we continue reading the chapter, we discover that David's mighty men also defeated other giants who rose against Israel. This was not accidental. It was evidence that David had invested his life, wisdom, leadership, and experience into raising other capable men who could stand strong when he was no longer able to carry the battle alone.

This reveals an important principle of Kingdom living: God's work was never meant to depend on one individual alone. Every leader, parent, pastor, mentor, and believer must learn the importance of investing in others. When we train, disciple, teach, and equip people, we create continuity and ensure that God's purposes continue beyond our personal involvement.

Many people make the mistake of keeping everything to themselves—their knowledge, skills, experiences, and spiritual insights. While this may make them appear indispensable for a season, it often creates a dangerous gap when they are absent. What is not transferred cannot be sustained.

Jesus Himself modeled this principle. Though He ministered to multitudes, He invested deeply in twelve disciples. He knew that His earthly ministry would continue through the men He trained and empowered. After His ascension, these disciples carried the Gospel to the nations because He had intentionally prepared them.

This principle applies not only in ministry but in every area of life. Parents should teach their children how to pray, study God's Word, fast, and walk with God. Business leaders should mentor future leaders. Pastors should disciple faithful servants. Professionals should train others in their field. In doing so, we build systems of continuity that can withstand seasons of transition.

The enemy is always looking for weaknesses and gaps through which he can attack. However, when we invest in others and raise capable men and women around us, we strengthen our families, ministries, businesses, and communities against such attacks. The work continues even when we are absent because others have been equipped to carry the vision forward.

Child of God, do not live only for yourself. Make a deliberate decision to invest in people. Share what God has taught you. Train others. Raise disciples. Equip the next generation. The greatest proof of success is not merely what you accomplish personally but what continues because of the lives you have impacted.

A lasting legacy is built when we intentionally invest in others. What is imparted to faithful men and women continues long after we are gone.

*PRAYER:*

Heavenly Father, thank You for the people You have placed in my life. Help me to be intentional in discipling, mentoring, and investing in others. Teach me to share the wisdom, knowledge, and revelation You have entrusted to me.May my life leave a lasting legacy that glorifies Your Name for generations to come. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
