Share Your Experience
Nobody is moved by a perfect speech.
Think about it.
When was the last time
someone's polished presentation
changed the way you saw something
permanently?
But a real story —
a moment when someone sat across from you
and said:
"I went through something similar.
Here is what happened.
Here is what I found."
That lands differently.
It goes somewhere a speech cannot go.
Because it is real.
And real things
reach real people.
Chiara Lubich, whose wisdom
shapes today's Word of Life,
understood this deeply.
She wrote:
"Besides proclaiming the Gospel
with our lives,
we also have to announce it
with our words.
We should speak out,
using every means
and every opportunity available to us.
We need to speak
above all
by sharing our experiences.
By speaking,
we will strengthen our own faith
and the faith of those
who listen to us."
That last line matters.
When you share your experience —
you are not just helping someone else.
You are strengthening yourself.
Something happens to faith
when it is spoken aloud.
It becomes more solid.
More real.
More your own.
You realise what you actually believe
when you try to put it into words.
And the person listening —
they are not hearing a doctrine.
They are hearing a person.
Someone who struggled.
Someone who doubted.
Someone who found something
worth holding on to.
And honest stories
have a way of spreading hope
that arguments never can.
One person's experience
becomes another person's
reason to keep going.
A story shared at the right moment —
even a small one —
can become the exact note
someone else needed to hear.
Today —
you have a story.
Not a perfect one.
Not a polished one.
But a real one.
And someone, somewhere,
is waiting for exactly that.
"Come and hear,
all you who fear God,
and I will tell
what He has done for my soul."
— Psalm 66:16
"They overcame him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony."
— Revelation 12:11
"We declare to you
what we have seen and heard,
so that you also
may have fellowship with us."
— 1 John 1:3
Prayer
Lord, teach us to speak
with honesty and humility.
Help us to share the experiences
that encouraged us,
challenged us,
and drew us closer to You —
so that others may receive
the same hope through us.
Give us courage
to open our mouths —
knowing that Your Spirit
will carry the words
where they need to go.
Amen.
Live the Word
Today —
share one experience of faith
with someone.
Not a lecture.
Not a perfect testimony.
Just something real
that happened to you —
and what God did in it.
That is enough.
