*🕊️ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 168* *DATE: 17TH JUNE 2026* *TOPIC: YOU CAME FOR A PURPOSE* *ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: GENESIS 2:5 (KJV)* *“And there was no man to till the ground.”* *Devotional message:* Before God created man, there was already a need in the earth. The Bible reveals that God withheld rain because there was no man to cultivate and care for the ground. This teaches us a profound truth: assignments existed before people arrived. God created man because there was a purpose that required fulfillment. In the same way, your assignment existed before you were born. God did not bring you into this world by accident. He positioned you in your family, community, workplace, school, church, and nation because there is a specific gap He desires you to fill. Your existence is connected to a divine purpose. This truth is echoed throughout Scripture. In Ezekiel 22:30, God declared, “I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land.” God was looking for someone willing to take responsibility and become a solution. Sadly, He found none. Many people spend their lives complaining about the problems around them without realizing that God may have placed them there to become part of the answer. Jeremiah understood this reality. Before he was born, God had already ordained him to be a prophet to the nations. His purpose existed before his arrival on earth. Likewise, God has a blueprint for your life that was established before your birth. You were not created merely to occupy space, pursue comfort, or live for yourself. You were created to fulfill a divine assignment. Many believers become discouraged by the challenges they encounter in their families, communities, or workplaces. Yet those very challenges may be indicators of the purpose for which God positioned them there. Instead of complaining about darkness, God calls His children to become light. Instead of lamenting problems, He calls us to become instruments of transformation. If you have not yet discovered your purpose, seek the Lord in prayer. The One who created you knows exactly why He sent you into the world. As you spend time in His presence and study His Word, He will reveal His plans and direct your steps. Once your assignment becomes clear, commit yourself wholeheartedly to fulfilling it. Remember, your time on earth is limited. You are here for a season, and God expects you to make that season count. Like Jeremiah, who fulfilled his prophetic assignment, and like many others in Scripture who answered God's call, may you rise and fulfill the purpose for which you were created. Child of God, you are not an accident. You are God's answer to a need somewhere in this world. Discover your assignment, embrace it, and faithfully fulfill it for the glory of God. Your assignment existed before you were born. God created and positioned you to fill a specific gap and fulfill a unique purpose in your generation. *Prayer:* Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me with purpose and intention. Open my eyes to understand the assignment You have given me. Help me not to waste my time on earth but to faithfully fulfill Your will for my life. Give me wisdom, courage, and grace to become a solution in my generation and to bring glory to Your name.
