TITLE: “Breathe Again: Life from the Spirit.”
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S)
Ezekiel 37:14 (KJV) “And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.”
John 6:63 (KJV) “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
QUOTE TO REFLECT ON
“When God breathes, what was dead does not struggle—it rises.”
DAY'S REFLECTION
There are moments in life when people feel emotionally drained, spiritually dry, or completely exhausted by life’s battles. It can feel like progress has stopped and hope has faded.
Ezekiel stood before a valley of dry bones—a picture of hopelessness. Yet God did not ask him to analyse the bones; He promised to breathe life into them. The key was not human effort but divine Spirit.
In the same way, many situations in life cannot be revived by human strength alone. A broken dream, a weary heart, a struggling family, or a declining hope may require more than advice—it requires the breath of God.
Jesus reminds us that life is not sustained by fleshly effort alone. It is the Spirit who gives life. His Word carries life, direction, and restoration. When God’s Word enters a situation, it changes its spiritual atmosphere.
Think of a phone that has completely shut down due to no battery. No matter how powerful it is, it cannot function until it is recharged. Likewise, the human soul needs regular spiritual “charging” through the Word and the Spirit of God.
Today, God is not finished with you. What looks dry can live again. What looks broken can be restored. What looks finished can receive divine breath.
MEDITATION SCRIPTURE(S) WITH FULL VERSES
Genesis 2:7 (KJV)
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”
Romans 8:11 (KJV)
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
LIFE LESSONS (IMPLICATIONS)
1. Spiritual life is sustained by the Holy Spirit, not human strength.
2. God can revive what looks completely dead.
3. The Word of God carries transforming power.
4. Dry seasons are not permanent when God intervenes.
5. Restoration begins with divine breath, not human effort.
EVERYDAY ACTION
Spend time reading and speaking God’s Word.
Pray for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit.
Reject discouraging thoughts and speak life.
Trust God with areas that feel “dead.”
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, breathe upon my life again. Revive every dry area and fill me with Your Spirit and Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
DECLARATION
I receive the breath of God. I am revived and strengthened. Dry areas in my life are coming alive. The Spirit of God gives me life. I will not remain in dryness or defeat.
