Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotion for today.
MD.i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY THURSDAY JUNE 18, 2026.
"STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS"
âTheyâŠcompare themselves with themselves.â 2 Corinthians 10:12 NIV
ONE DEFINITION of success is: âGaining wealth and fame.â But how much wealth do you need to be successful? How much fame? Should you pick an arbitrary target? Should you compare yourself to others? What if you have decided to devote yourself to raising children of character, or serving your church and your community? Does that mean you are less successful? No. Success is doing the best you can, with what you have, wherever you are in life. The Bible warns, âWhen they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.â When you play the comparison game you are like the two cows that saw the milk lorry go by with a sign, âPasteurized, homogenized, Vitamin A added.â One cow said to the other, âMakes you feel sort of inadequate, doesnât it?â God will help you to be all that you can be, but He will never help you to be someone else. When you focus your attention on who you arenât, by comparing yourself with someone else, you lose sight of who you need to become. Ever heard of the eighteen/forty/sixty rule? When youâre eighteen, you worry about what everybodyâs thinking about you. When youâre forty, you realize that it doesnât really matter what they
qthink about you. When youâre sixty, it dawns on you that most of them werenât thinking about you at all! Paulâs life changed dramatically with one question: âLord, what do You want me to do?â (Acts 9:6 NKJV). Only when you ask that question, will you discover who you are and what Godâs called you to be.

MD.ii. NOAH, THE MAN WHO BELIEVED GOD
"By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith." â Hebrews 11:7
Noah was born 1056 years after the creation of heaven and earth. He and his wife had three sons: Shem, Cham and Japheth. Noah was 950 years old. Noah is best known as âthe righteous oneâ and is one of the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11.
He walked with God
While the nations of the earth lived in deep sin and the hearts of the people were full of anger, Noah was not influenced by the sinful lifestyle of his contemporaries and he continued to walk holy and righteous because he walked with God. Therefore, God was pleased with Noah and he and his family were spared during the flood which destroyed everything on earth at that time. Paul says in Romans 1:18: âThe wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness.â
We live in a confused world where many people are spiritually blind. You realize that there is more and worse sin. Jesus Christ and the prophets have warned us about this. And yet many people do not see the seriousness of this time while we see God's judgment approaching fast. This world is only getting worse each day. Revelation 22:11 says: âLet the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile.â
Have you ever thought how terrible it is for God to carry out those judgments? The Bible says: âBut You are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love.â But sin also brings judgment and punishment. Romans 6:23 says: âFor the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.â Jesus is our Ark of salvation.

2. Morning Prayer for today.
MP.i. Morning Prayer
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint. †Isaiah 40:31
Prayer is the greatest of all forces, because it honors God and brings Him into active aid. †E.M. Bounds
O God, we would be strong for this new day, and we wait upon You to renew our strength. You have given us renewal in sleepâand we thank You for this. You give Your beloved sleepâand You give them blessings while sleeping. For the goodness of the night, we give You hearty thanks.
We need also spiritual strength for the day that is before us.
We shall meet temptations.
We shall have duties to perform.
We shall have burdens to carry.
We shall have conflicts with the evil that is in the world.
We need strength for all these experiences. You only can give us what we need. You are our refuge and our strengthâa very present help in times of trouble. You have promised to be with us and to strengthen us. You have said that as our days areâso shall our strength be, and that Your grace is sufficient for us. We accept these assurances, believing that we shall obtain help from You for every duty and every struggle.
We desire that this shall be a profitable day. Lord, give us faith that we may not fail of Your help at any point. Let us not faint nor grow weary in our work. We go to our different duties and tasks in Jesus' precious name, and we desire to live for You all the day.
Bless our home life. Bless our work and business. Bless our association with neighbors and friends. Fill us with Your love, that we may live worthily all the day, affectionately as a family, bearing one another's burdens, in peace with all people as much as lies in us, and compassionately toward the troubled, the sorrowing, and the sinning. Keep us from accidents and injuries as we go about. Give us good health. Make us wise unto salvation. And to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we will give praise forever and ever. Amen.
