Good evening , brethren.
1. Evening devotion for today.

ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
(COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

*DATE:*
FRIDAY 19TH JUNE, 2026.

*SUB-THEME:*
EXAMPLES OF GOD'S AMAZING GRACE.

*TOPIC:*
NAAMAN.

*TEXT:*
2 KINGS 5:10-14.
10. Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, “Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.”
11. But Naaman went away angry and said, “I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy.
12. Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Couldn’t I wash in them and be cleansed?” So he turned and went off in a rage.
13. Naaman’s servants went to him and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’!”
14. So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.

*TOPIC:*
NAAMAN.

*THE MESSAGE:*
Naaman was a mighty and courageous soldier, but he was a leper. What a devastating and humiliating condition for a high-ranking man! Through the counsel of a maid, he sought help from Elisha to be healed. But his pride and myopic view of God almost deprived him of enjoying God's Grace. God's Grace manifested when he overcame his pride and acted in faith. Similarly, we are all 'leprous' in our sins. Man sometimes thinks that God's offer of salvation in Jesus is too simple. So, he devises a way to reach God. This is futile! To be cleansed of our 'leprosy,' of pride, immorality, greed, addiction, and be restored to wholeness, we must respond positively to the Grace of God in Christ. Have you received God's way of forgiveness? If not, do so today.

*REFLECTION:*
Yielding to God's ways and instructions is profitable.

*PRAYER:*
I yield to Your ways, Lord. Amen.

*MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
JOHN 1:16.
"From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another."

*TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
PSALM 98-103.

ED.ii.
word for today

Stay positive
18 June 2026
‘‘Whatever things are…of good report…meditate on these things.’’
Philippians 4:8 NKJV
Marcial Losada is an organisational psychologist who studies the power of positivity. He argues that we need a negative feedback loop to survive. Without midcourse corrections, we mindlessly make the same mistakes. But if you want to thrive, you also need a positive feedback loop. His studies have produced what is known as the Losada ratio: it’s the ratio of positive feedback to negative feedback in a system. It doesn’t matter whether that system is a church, a family, or your workplace, there needs to be at least 2.9 positive feedbacks for every one negative. So, what’s your ratio as a spouse, a parent, a worker, a friend? Part of the reason for the disparity is that negative feedback tends to carry more weight and last longer, so it has to be counterbalanced. A pretty good rule of thumb is this: dish out three compliments for every complaint. Instead of looking for faults, train yourself to catch people doing things right. And here are a few more things you can do to stay positive. 1) Memorise and meditate on the promises of God’s Word and anchor yourself to them. 2) Keep a gratitude journal. It will let you know how blessed and how well-off you are. 3) Cultivate the habit of sending a heartfelt note to people you appreciate. It’ll only take you two minutes, but you can make someone’s day, or even someone’s year! 4) Find a way to share ‘wins’ with your family and in your workplace. It has the power to shift the focus and shift the culture. It’ll also anchor you to your kids and to your colleagues in a powerful new way.

2. Evening Prayer for today.

EP.i. Evening Prayer

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. ⏤ Philippians 4:6

Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work. ⏤ Oswald Chambers

Holy Father, let us, Your children, draw near to You, since we come in the name of Your Son, our Savior, who gave Himself for us. Through Him we have access to You. We come to thank You for all Your mercies, for the blessings of this day, and for all its privileges and enjoyments.

Let Your blessing rest upon the work of this day. If we have been faithful in our duties and tasks, may You accept what we have done. Nothing is finished until it has received Your blessing.

We thank You that we have the privilege of making prayers and supplications and intercessions for others. We pray for all our friends. Some of them are growing old. Gently keep the aged people near Yourself. In their feebleness, may You protect them. You have promised to bear and to carry the aged. Fulfill Your promises. Make them useful in their lives as long as they live. Then when their work is done, may You receive them home to Heaven.

Bless any of our friends who are in trouble. Some of them are sick. Comfort the sick. Give them patience and cheerfulness. May they so acquiesce in Your wise providence, that the burden will not be too heavy for them. Sanctify to them their suffering and pain. We pray not merely for their recovery—but that they may come from their sick-rooms with the work of grace wrought in them which You have designed their illness to produce.

Some of our friends are in sorrow. Give them true consolation, and may they be enriched in all grace and in all the elements of a holy Christian character through their affliction. Give us now a night's blessing, in Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen.
