* DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 174*
*DATE: 23RD JUNE 2026*
*TOPIC: CHOSEN TO BE FRUITFUL – PART 2*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: JOHN 15:5 (NKJV)*
*β€œI am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”*
*Devotional message:*

Yesterday, we learned that God has placed something unique within every believer and that fruitfulness begins when we discover and develop what He has entrusted to us. However, before a person can truly become fruitful in the Kingdom of God, there is a foundational step that must be taken: accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Fruitfulness in God's Kingdom is not merely about talent, skill, education, or natural ability. True spiritual fruitfulness begins with a relationship with Jesus Christ. When a person believes in Him and receives Him as Lord, he or she becomes a child of God. At that moment, the life and nature of God are imparted into the believer through the Holy Spirit.

This new life begins to produce visible evidence. The believer gradually reflects the character of Christ and begins to bear the fruit of the Spirit described in Galatians 5:22–23: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These fruits are not produced by human effort alone but by the Holy Spirit working within a surrendered heart.

Jesus emphasized this truth when He declared, β€œWithout Me you can do nothing.” Just as a branch cannot bear fruit unless it remains connected to the vine, a believer cannot bear lasting spiritual fruit apart from Christ. Separation from Him leads to spiritual barrenness, while abiding in Him produces a life that glorifies God and blesses others.

Many people may appear successful outwardly, yet true fruitfulness is measured by what God produces through a life that is surrendered to Him. Apart from Christ, it is possible to produce works that have temporary value, but only a life rooted in Him can bear fruit that remains for eternity.

When we study the lives of the apostles and other men and women whom God used mightily, we discover a common characteristic: they lived under the lordship of Jesus Christ. Their effectiveness, influence, and lasting impact flowed from their relationship with Him. They remained connected to the true Vine and allowed His life to flow through them.

Child of God, if you desire to be fruitful, remain in Christ. Yield yourself to the leading of the Holy Spirit and allow Him to shape your character. As you abide in Christ, the Father will produce fruit through your life that will glorify His name and impact generations.

True fruitfulness begins with a relationship with Jesus Christ. As we abide in Him and submit to His lordship, the Holy Spirit produces lasting fruit in and through our lives.

*Prayer:*

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to give me life. Help me to remain connected to Him in every area of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and produce in me the fruit that brings glory to Your name. Teach me to abide in Christ daily and to follow Your leading faithfully. May my life reflect Your nature and bear fruit that will remain for eternity. In Jesus' name, Amen.
